As promised, production house Mythri Movie Makers on Monday dropped the teaser of their much awaited film Pushpa: The Rule to coincide with the leading light Allu Arjun’s birthday and it will make you forget blinking. Little over a minute, the teaser is yet another proof of Allu Arjun’s brilliance on screen.
The teaser opens with an overview of Gangamma Jathara festival with devotees offering prayers to the deity. It cuts to our protagonist Pushpa Raj applying kohl to his eyes, sporting jhumkas and scarring his forehead with an elephant tusk as he blows the conch, probably hinting at a war. As he pins down an adversary, he is revealed to be in Ardhanarishvara get up, which he pulls off with aplomb. It concludes with him easily neutralizing multiple men as he brandishes his trademark swagger, which won him millions of hearts.
Overall, while it primarily seems to focus on one episode from the film, the teaser is still spectacular with Allu Arjun in his element. The background score by Devi Sri Prasad is simply goosebumps-inducing as it elevates the appeal of the teaser a notch higher.
Set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh, Pushpa: The Rule, as the name indicates, will see Pushpa’s reign as he is now the head of smuggling syndicate, while also focusing on his tiff with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat (played by Fahadh Faasil) who is keen to settle scores with him after being humiliated (towards the end of the first part). Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil, Anasuya, Jagadeesh, Dhananjaya and Rao Ramesh will be reprising their parts once again. It blazes into cinemas on August 15th later this year.
