In an interview a couple of years ago, Siddu Jonnalagadda had said that he wants to be the star of an Rs 100 crore film in the next three years. And guess what? He has achieved his dream in less than three years as his latest release, Tillu Square, has completed collecting Rs 100 crore at the box office.
Taking to X, filmβs production house Sithara Entertainments on Sunday said the film has grossed Rs 101.4 cr gross in nine days. βAlways dream big and work hard to realise it. In North America, Tillu Square continues to pack in a punch. So far it crossed $2.6 million and is on the way to become the second biggest Telugu grosser of the year there after Hanuman.
In fact on book my show portal; the advance bookings for Tillu Square, in the last 24 hours, are more compared to that of the last Friday release Family Star, fronted by Vijay Deverakonda.
Directed by Adbutham fame Mallik Ram, Tillu Square, also featuring Muralidhar Goud, Prince, Murali Sharma and Udhbav Raghunandan, is a twisty crime comedy. Siddu reprises his role as DJ Tillu in the sequel, while Anupama plays his love interest, Lilly. Much like the predecessor, the film sees him land in big trouble due to his love interest, with Tillu having to improvise to get out of danger.
Naga Vamsi has produced the film, while Ram Miriyala and Achu Rajamani scored the music, with Bheems Ceciroleo chipping in for background score. Following the grand success, the makers have announced Tillu Cube.
