After taking a flying start, Tillu Square, headlined by Siddu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, continued its juggernaut on Sunday as well, registering remarkable numbers. Collecting a gross of Rs 45.3 crore in first two days, the film added another Rs 22.8 crore to its kitty on Sunday, taking the overall haul to an impressive Rs 68.1 crore gross.

The overseas gross, so far, stood at a majestic $2 million while it crossed $1.7 million in North America by Sunday and is poised to cross the $2 million mark today.

At this rate, the film should be crossing the Rs 100 crore gross mark in another three days. It will be the first Rs 100 crore film for Siddu.

While Monday is a litmus test for any new release, Tillu Square should easily conquer it bearing in mind the positive word-of-mouth and glowing reviews it got. Add to the fact that its summer holiday season, the film is expected to enjoy a decent run in the weekdays as well. With no competition until Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Family Star releases this Friday, Tillu Square should be looking to make the most out of the box office by then.

Directed by Mallik Ram, Tillu Square, co-starring Anupama Parameswaran, Muralidhar Goud, Prince, Murali Sharma and Udhbav Raghunandan, is a crime comedy, which traces the woes Tillu (played by Siddu) encounters after a new character Lilly (Anupama) enters his life. In the process, his path also crosses with that of his ex Radhika (Neha Shetty). The film is a sequel to the 2022 super hit DJ Tillu. Naga Vamsi and Saij Soujanya have jointly produced it, while Ram Miriyala and Achu Rajamani scored the music, with Bheems Ceciroleo chipping in for background score.

Tillu’s characterisation, rib-tickling humour, the dialogues and peppy songs have worked in favour of the film big time.
