After a terrific initial, Tillu Square, fronted by Siddu Jonnalagadda and Anupama Parameswaran, continued to maintain its stranglehold on the box office in the weekdays as well. Raking in a gross of Rs 78 crore in the first four days, the film added another Rs 7 crore gross to its kitty on Tuesday, taking the overall total to Rs 85 crore gross.

While there was a slight dip in collections due to Tuesday being a working day, the makers seemed to be not flustered at all and are positive about the film breaching the gross of Rs 100 crore soon. “#TilluSquare registers a MASSIVE 𝟖𝟓 𝐂𝐑 𝐢𝐧 𝟓 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐬, the DOUBLE BLOCKBUSTER run at the box office continues!! Racing towards 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐂𝐑 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 Our Starboy shattering records all over,” production house Sithara Entertainments wrote on X on Wednesday morning.

In North America, where the film is performing phenomenally well, it has collected $2.1 million so far and is counting. At this rate, it shouldn’t be a surprise if it crosses $3 million in North America by the time it ends its run. The collections are a significant shot in the arm for Siddu, whose DJ Tillu made half a million dollars there.

Directed by Adbutham fame Mallik Ram, Tillu Square, also featuring Muralidhar Goud, Prince, Murali Sharma and Udhbav Raghunandan, is a twisty crime comedy, which traces the woes Tillu (played by Siddu) encounters after a new character Lilly (Anupama) enters his life. In the process, his path also crosses with that of his ex Radhika (Neha Shetty).

Naga Vamsi has produced Tillu Square, while Ram Miriyala and Achu Rajamani scored the music, with Bheems Ceciroleo chipping in for background score. Following the grand success of the sequel, the makers have announced Tillu Cube in the end credits but work on it will begin after Siddu wraps up his commitments with Bommarillu Baskar, Neeraja Kona and Nandini Reddy.
