Arjun Reddy and Animal director Sandeep Reddy Vanga on Thursday released the trailer of Vishwak Sen-starrer long-in-the-making Gaami, directed by debutant Vidyadhar Kagita. The launch was held at Prasads multiplex in Hyderabad.

The three-minutes-43-seconds long clip opens with Vishwak’s part questioning himself: “Who am I? Where did I come from? Since when am I suffering from this condition?” Despite his best efforts, he doesn’t recall anything. He is later rescued by a group of aghoras and after some time, the head of the group politely asks Vishwak to leave their group. He grapples with a rare condition, which bars him from experiencing any human touch. The head, however, offers him a solution. Vishwak should visit Dronagiri Mountains in the Himalayan range for the cure in a stipulated time or else he needs to wait for another 36 years. So, he embarks on a treacherous journey which only gets arduous with passing time. In this process, he gets the help of a character played by Chandini Chowdary. Two other stories – of a Devadasi (played by Abhinaya) and a scientist (Mohammad Samad) performing clinical trials to find cure for a disease – become intertwined with Vishwak’s story.

Overall, with a unique story and captivating visuals, Gaami trailer manages to generate significant interest among the audience. It looks at the hardships the protagonists of the multiple stories go through and how they rise to the challenge. The effort Vishwak has put into the character is there for everyone to see, while Vidyadhar should be lauded for not compromising on his vision despite the film taking a lot of time. Vishwanath Reddy’s camerawork is simply outstanding as you’ll see Himalayas like never before.

Presented by V Celluloid and produced by Karthik Sabareesh, Gaami, also featuring Harika Pedada, Dayanand Reddy, Shanthi Rao, Mayank Parakh, John Kottoly, Bomma Sreedhar, Rajnish Sharma, Sharath Kumar N and Shankar Mahanthi, will sail into the cinema halls on March 8. Naresh Kumaran has composed the music.
