After unveiling the title recently, the makers of Ashish Reddy and Vaishnavi Chaitanya-starrer Love Me- If you dare on Thursday dropped the film’s teaser at Gurunanak University, Hyderabad on the eve of Maha Shivarathri. The film marks the directorial debut of Arun Bhimavarapu, while Harshith Reddy, Hanshitha Reddy and Naga Mallidi have jointly produced it.

Approximately one-and-a-half-minute in length, the teaser opens with a dilapidated house in the middle of a thick forest. Arjun (played by Ashish) is someone who believes in romancing in a place where fear thrives. “But that doesn’t mean you can romance a ghost, right?” Vaishnavi replies to him. But Arjun is persistent and calls out the ghost, which is believed to reside in the house, for a coffee. Vaishnavi, however, feels Arjun is mad and warns him that whoever messed with the ghost hasn’t come back. “You can’t see her twice,” she counsels. Arjun doesn’t heed and continues to invite the ghost. An eccentric lad, he not just wants to fall in love but make love with the ghost. What happens when the ghost does indeed surface in front of him seems to form the crux of the story!

Overall, the teaser promises a spine-chilling thriller, combining elements of romance and horror. With top-notch camerawork, production design and a background score which is both intense and haunting, Love Me seems to have all bases covered for a romantic horror to hit the bull’s eye. Ashish’s part seems to speak a gamut of emotions, while Vaishnavi is neat.
