1.
Chinni Navvu Challipove(Listen)
A melodious number sung by Hariharan and written by Kandikonda.
Hariharan sleepwalks through the song with his usual ease.
Though it's a melodious song, it still has nice beats unlike
the usual umpteen melodious songs, which are typically soft
and slow, devoid of beats. This one's an instant winner.
2.
Subbalachimi (Listen)
After setting a racy tune to 'Lachimi Lachimi' song in Baachi,
Chakri again sets a lively tune to another 'lachimi' song
here. This one's sung by Ravi Varma and written by Bhaskarabhatla
Ravi Kumar. Ravi Varma, though sounds a lot like Suresh Peters,
does a decent job of singing this folk song. This 'lachimi'
song has the potential of making people dance in the aisles
of theaters like 'Gajuwaka pilla' (of Nuvvu-Nenu) did.
3.
Allari Chinuka (Listen)
A breezy rain song penned by Balabadrapatruni Madhu and sung
very well by Kousalya. While it describes the amount of fun,
heroine and her friends are having getting drenched in the
rain, it also talks about the carefree and fun-loving nature
of the heroine's character. One of the best rain songs in
its cadre, since 'Jallantha Kavvintha' (of Geetanjali). The
male voice, which pops up just for a few seconds, imitating
Ramana Gogula's voice irks you though.
4.
Enduko Enduko (Listen)
After tugging in Telugu words (just because he was supposed
to write a Telugu song) amidst mindless Hindi/English words,
for songs in Santosham and Adrushtam, Viswa finally gets it
right this time with this beautiful title song. No wonder
they say - try, try and try until you succeed. Hats off Viswa!
for you did succeed with aplomb. Chakri not only sets a pleasant
tune to this song but also pleases us with an equally pleasant
rendition.
5.
Tolakariva (Listen)
Nice tune, good lyrics, riveting rhythm. But wait! Control
your excitement for there's already a whole of lot of over
excitement attached to this song by an over-enthusiastic crooning
of Chakri. Gosh!! Why is he 'howling' in the interludes of
the song? Is he trying to ooze passion? If so, a suggestion
to Chakri - please exclude such notion 'coz that's not the
way to exude passion. Having said all this, I still say it's
an enjoyable number written by Kandikonda. Kousalya lends
her voice for the heroine.
6.
Nilikalla (Listen)
Another beautiful number about a guy crying out for his lover.
Kandikonda pens wonderful lyrics and this time Chakri doesn't
go overboard. In fact he breathes life into this pathos filled
song with a soulful rendition. Good job by Chakri.
7.
Aapalanna Aagena (Listen)
Brilliant! This song deserves top marks in all departments
- lyrics, music and singing. Sunitha and Jeans Srinivas mesmerize
us with their vocals while Sirivennela, needless to say, comes
out with beautiful lyrics. I wonder why Sunitha doesn't get
to sing many songs in spite of such a sweet voice. This song
leaves us with a pleasant feeling thanks to Chakri's easy
on ears music. Its a winner all the way.
8.
Lavvudoma Kuttinade (Listen)
This song sounds so much like 'Gajuwaka Pilla' (of Nuvvu-Nenu)
but comes nowhere near it in terms of lyrics. Nevertheless,
it's racy and manages to make you tap your feet on the ground.
Aimed at the masses and hence no complains about the lyrics
by Kandikonda. Whitehouse, Pantaloons, Medimix, Horlicks,
aloo chips! Uff, are these lyrics? But hey! No complains.
Let the targeted audience be the judges. Udit Narayan (is
he still singing Telugu songs?) and Kousalya deliver what
they are expected to, in such a song.
After
a so-so music for Baachi, a good score for Itlu
Sravani Subramnayam and some mediocre musical scores
for Aadhuthu
Paadhuthu and Dreams,
Chakri comes out with wonderful music for Kanulu Moosina Neevaye.
All the songs in this movie are set to lilting tunes talking
about various moods of life from gaiety to grief, passion
to pleasure and ecstasy to euphoria. This album is definitely
worth your money (or should I say worth your 'mouse-clicks'?).
Start listening to the songs and I am sure you would say -
'yentha vinna tanivi teeradaye!'
