Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu’s visit to Dallas, Texas on July 1st was a grand success. People thronged the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Irving Texas to be part of the lunch banquet hosted by TANTEX (Telugu Association of North Texas) in honor of Sri Chandra Babu Naidu’s visit. Dr. Raghavendra Prasad and Dr. Navaneeta Krishna with the support of a team of dedicated volunteers worked hard with the theme of unity from beginning till the conclusion of the program.
An enthusiastic crowd of over 100 supporters waited at the airport for CBN for over 2 hours where he ultimately arrived from Houston on a private jet. Nagam Janardhan Reddy, Garikapati Rammohan Rao, Umesh Kunupareddy and Erraballi Dayakar Rao also attended the meeting. As soon as he arrived at the venue, Chandra Babu Naidu met several doctors, IT entrepreneurs and other business entrepreneurs from the Dallas community. This meeting was moderated by Murali Vennam. During this meeting, he discussed the NTR Memorial Trust and NRI TDP. He encouraged the Telugu community to utilize the NTR Memorial Trust as a platform to do philanthropic activities in Andhra Pradesh. He said that the NRI TDP was formed to provide a solid network for Telugu people living all over the world.
After this meeting, he attended the lunch banquet hosted to honor his visit. About 700 people from Dallas Telugu community were eagerly waiting for Mr. CBN to arrive at the banquet. The meeting started with invocation followed by lighting the lamp. Mr. Umesh Kunupareddy spoke about the NTR Trust and the efforts it is making to make difference in the lives of people. A short film on NTR Trust was played for the benefit of the guests.
Dr. Navaneetha Krishna Gorrepati welcomed Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and said that he would rally support for him. Dr Raghavendra Prasad spoke of the importance of gratitude towards the parents, teachers, village, school, state and country. He said that people, especially the youth are behind Mr. Naidu due to the efforts he has put into advancing the IT industry the result of which scores of youngster have migrated all over the globe, particularly to USA. Mr. Prasad Thotakura gave a brief background of Mr. Babu and welcomed him to address the gathering.
Mr. Babu delivered a motivating speech asking people to go the extra mile to establish themselves as entrepreneurs. He encouraged the Telugu community to prosper and see them contribute to philanthropic activities. He stressed the importance of philanthropy and the benefits it will bring to the underprivileged in AP.
The audience responded very positively to his call and has offered about $200,000 Dollars to NTR trust. Sridhar Korsapati, Vice President of TANTEX, offered vote of thanks. Mr. Naidu gave plaques to the sponsors of the event and to the members of the organizing committee. Immediately after the meeting, Shri. CBN flew to Detroit. His Dallas visit was a resounding success.
