Seenu Vytla to direct Nagarjuna
Seenu Vytla who proved himself with mass comedy flicks in the past is going to direct Nagarjuna very soon. D Siva Prasad Reddy who produced many blockbusters with Nagarjuna is going to produce this film. This film is likely to go onto the sets once Seenu Vytla completes his work in ‘Ready’ featuring Ram and Genelia.
Bujji to produce another Venky film
Nallamalupu Bujji who produced last years Sankranthi blockbuster Lakshmi is going to produce another film with Venkatesh. Yogi who directed Oka Raju Oka Raju with Ravi Teja and Namitha in the main leads is going to direct this film. Kona Venkat provides story and dialogues. This film will start in the second half of January 2008. Nallamalupu Bujji is called as the director with golden hand as his first two films (Lakshmi an Lakshyam) became blockbusters.
Anasuya on 21 December
Ravi Babu’s thriller Anasuya featuring Bhumika Chawla in the title role is going to release on 21 December. Abbas does the main lead. Ankita and Nikhita play other vital roles. Ravi Babu also produces it on Flying Frogs banner. D Suresh Babu presents it. The trailer released recently got tremendous response.
Brahmanandam Drama Company
Palli Kesava Rao is producing the Telugu remake of Hindi flick Bhagambhag. This film is titled as ‘Brahmanandam Drama Company’. ‘Heroine Jump’ is the tagline. Brahmanandam does the title role. Its not Bheja Fry, It’s Kurkure
There are reports in media that a Telugu film is being made on the lines of Bheja Fry. When contacted director Junaid clarified that his debut film is not based on Bheja Fry. This film ‘Kurkure’ is centered around the character played by Bhubaneswar (a vamp in Telugu films). Duvvasi Mohan - a small time comedian - is doing the male lead in this film. Venkat produces this film on RR Movie makers that produced films like Hungama and Samanyudu. Director Ravi C Kumar is providing story and dialogues for this film. Junaid who excelled in the fields of trailer cutting and color grading (Prime Focus) is making his debut as director with this film.
14 Dec is a good day for MS Raju
14 December is having important occasions in the life of MS Raju this year. The day starts with a pooja program in which MS Raju would be launching his son Sumanth Ashwin as hero with Nuvve Naa Hero film in the direction of Teja. Happy Days to tour Andhra
The unit of Happy Days will be touring entire Andhra Pradesh from 8th of this month to 10th. Sekhar Kammula, Dil Raju, Varun Sandesh, Rahul, Sonia, Monali and Gayatri will join this success tour. The tour starts on 8th of this month in Vizag (Jagadamba theater) and then passes through Gajuwaka, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Vijayawada, Mangalagiri, Guntur, Ongole and Nellore.
Venkatesh to work with Sekhar Kammula
Speaking to scribes today, Venkatesh informed that he is going to do a film in the direction of Sekhar Kammula. Venkatesh said that he immensely liked the film and sent flowers to entire unit of Happy Days after watching the film. Sekhar Kammula is the man in demand now with Nagarjuna and Mahesh Babu too expressing their willingness to work with Sekhar Kammula.
Tanikella’s Sira for Mumbai festival
The short film ‘Sira’ directed and written by Tanikella Bharani has been selected for the 10th Mumbai International Film Festival which will be conducted from 3rd to 9th February 2008. While there are 16 Indian films in the ensuing film & video competition, this is the only Telugu film. There will be an international jury. There will be 43 films in the fray. This festival is conducted by MAMI (Mumbai Academy of Moving Images) - an organization headed by all time greats like Shyam benegal, Govind Nihlani, Jaya Bachchan etc.

Ravi Teja’s film is not Krishna
Speaking to idlebrain.com VV Vinayak said the the title of his latest film with Ravi Teja is yet to be confirmed. He also said that they never considered the title Bejawada Bujji for this film. Though they considered the title Krishna for the film, they had to withdraw it because Nagarjuna - Vishnu film is titled as Krishnarjuna. The shooting of the film is nearing completion. This film is expected to release for Sankranthi 2008.
Ali’s ‘Love in Bangkok’
Adlabs (of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group) is entering in Telugu film industry with a film titled ‘Love in Bangkok’. Ali plays main lead and SV Krishna Reddy is going to direct the film. They are making this film to understand the local market and to test the waters. Adlabs will be making many big budget films in the future.

RR Moviemakers that produced Samanyudu film with Jagapati Babu last year is planning to remake it with a big hero in Hindi. Gemini bags Santosham awards rights
Gemini TV bagged the broadcasting rights of Santosham film awards function that is slated for 30 November in Sharjah, Dubai. Gemini is also the main sponsor of the event. Hence this awards will be called as Gemini Santosham awards. Incidentally, out of six functions organized by Santosham film magazine, 4 are broadcasted by Gemini TV. Santosham film magazine which is known for celebration anniversaries and holding award functions in grand scale is taking it to the next level by holding the function in Dubai for the first time.

National award winning director who directed entertainers like Show and Missamma is directing a film titled Mr. Medhavi in which Raja is doing the title role. Vishnu uses advance fight equipment
Vishnu is in Tirupati now to shoot for his current film in the direction of P Vasu. An action sequence is being canned on Vishnu and the fighters in college. Stun Siva is choreographing these action sequences. Vishnu is supposed to jump from 100 meters. These sequences are generally shot using ropes. But Vishnu has imported an equipment worth 20 lakhs for this purpose. These are called air beds. And it won’t hurt you even if you jump from 100 meters. However, Vishnu has done all the purchase without the knowledge of the producer Mohan Babu. Let’s see how Mohan Babu is going to react when they show budget to him.

Yamadonga function postponed
The proposed 50 days function of Yamadonga film is indefinitely postponed. The official reason stated is the incessant rains. But unofficially, it might be due to the fact that the function should be held after completing 100 days in grand way. Earlier it was planned to have 50 days function on 14 of October in Kasu Brahmananda Reddy stadium. NTR is expected dance in this function. The dialogues cassette of Yamadonga film is also expected to release on the same day.

Tamil superstar Rajnikanth watched a special preview show of Chirutha film and congratulated Chiranjeevi about the performance of Ram Charan Teja. Sekhar Kammula who spent a whopping 7 and half crores on Godavari minimized his production cost for his next venture ‘Happy Days’ and made it in a reasonable budget of 3 crores. He sold the exhibition rights of entire AP to Dil Raju at a fancy amount. He also sold off USA rights to a nice price. He sold music rights to Big Music (from the stables of Ad Labs, Reliance) for 20+ lakhs. He is said to have made a solid table profit in excess of 2 and half crores. Another Tamil import for MS Raju film
After making Siddhartha a huge celebrity in Andhra Pradesh with Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (NVNV), MS Raju is all set to introduce another Tamil boy Vinay in Telugu with his next film Vaana. Vinay who acted in recently released dubbing film ‘Nee Valle Nee Valle’ (based on the literary work Men are from Mars - women are from Venus) is expected to make his debut in a direct Telugu film through Vaana. MS Raju who is regarded as the ghost director for most of his ventures is coming all out for this film by wielding the megaphone in the capacity of the director. This film is a remake of Kannada blockbuster Mungara Male. This film is launched today near Bangalore.
Nagesh Kukunoor to remake Sixth Sense
Popular Indian film director Nagesh Kukunoor is remaking Manoj Shyamalan’s Hollywood blockbuster Sixth Sense in Hindi now. This film is titled as Taswir. Akshay Kumar and Ayesha Takia are playing the roles played by Bruce Willins and Oliva Williams in the original.
Sindhu Tolani as Batukamma
Sindhu Tolani is going to play the title role in ‘Batakamma’ film. This film is based on Telangana goddess Batakamma and the traditional heritage of Telangana. T Prabhakar who directed the lady oriented ‘Meenakshi’ film with Kamalinee Mukherjee in the past is going to direct this film. There will be 11 songs. The regular shooting of this film will start in Warangal from 25 August onwards

Don release on 23 December
Nagarjuna’s Don is all set to release on 23rd December which also happens to be the release date of Mass, his blockbuster with Lawrence. This film sports Anushka as heroine. Lawrence also composes music along with writing and directing the film. ML Kumar Chowdary produces it.
Super35 camera for John Apparao 40+
Super35 camera is said to be pretty expensive. But it also gives the filmmaker to seamlessly do the digital intermediate (color grading) during the postproduction. It saves a lot of money in terms of negative and conversion charges. Venkat Kuchipudi who is doing a comedy flick ’John Appa Rao 40+’ with Krishna Bhagawan and Simran is also using the same camera. The unit recently went to Dubai to shoot a song.
Dasaradh pens dialogues for Raghavan
Dasarath (of Santosham fame) is penning dialogues for the Telugu dubbing version of Kamal Hassan’s Tamil blockbuster Vettiyadu Veliyadu. Gowtam Menon directed this film which starred Kamalinee Mukherjee and Jyothika in the main leads. The Telugu version is titled as Raghavan. This film will be released in the month of September

Chiranjeevi on 3 week vacation
Chiranjeevi is leaving to London tonight on vacation. He would be away for the next three weeks. He would not be in India for his birthday and the audio of launch of his son Ram Charan Teja’s debut film Chiruta. The audio launch of Chiruta is going to be held in a low key. Chiranjeevi will be returning from London in the first week of September.
P Vasu to remake Don
After the stupendous success of Amitab Bachchan’s Don in Hindi, NT Rama Rao remade it in Telugu as Yugandhar. Then this film was remade in Tamil as Billa with Rajnikanth as hero. Shahrukh Khan remade the same film in Hindi with the same name Don. Now popular Tamil hero Ajith is remaking the same film with the same name Billa. Now it is the turn of a youth hero to act in the remake of Yugandhar with the same name. P Vasu (Chandramukhi fame) will direct this film. Since NTR played the role of Yugandhar, can we expect the natural choice of Jr. NTR for this remake?
Mamata Mohandas dubs her voice
In the times when we have Telugu girls not able to dub their own voices, a non-Telugu heroine dubbed her voice in Telugu. Mamata Mohandas who became extremely popular as a singer with three songs (Rakhi, 36-24-36 and Aaakaleste) had dubbed her voice for her straight Telugu debut ‘Yamadonga’. Meera Jasmine earlier dubbed her voice in ‘Gudumba Shankar’ in the past.

Chiranjeevi varostavalu from 15 August
Chiranjeevi’s birthday is coming up on 22 August. The fans of Chiranjeevi are organizing Chiranjeevi varostavalu (social service) from 15 August to 22 August. Chiranjeevi Rashtra Yuvatha will organize blood donation camps in all important towns in AP on 15 August. On 16th, fans will take up massive plantation activity to protect environment. On 17thth, fans will organize free medical camp for the poor, which include free medicine, free spectacles and free surgeries. On 19th, there will be diabetic and free yoga camp. On 20th, there will be cricket match for physically challenged people. The fans will also distribute free cloths to the orphanages. On 21st, fans will distribute artificial limbs to physically challenged. There will a big musical night, dances by popular choreographer, felicitation of a popular cricketer, presentation of gold medals to top rankers. On 22nd Augsut, there will be another round of huge blood donation camp.

Yamadonga obtains U/A certificate
NTR’s Yamadonga obtained U/A certificate from censor board yesterday. This film is all set to release all over the world on 15 August on the eve of Indian independence day. Yamadonga is simultaneously releasing in USA with 12 prints in 22 theaters. Rajamouli directed this film. Priyamani and Mamata Mohandas play main leads. Mohan Babu donned the role of Yama. MM Keeravani scored the music.
Asha Bhonsle sings for Chandamama
After a long gap Asha Bhonsle rendered her voice to a Telugu song titled ‘naalo voohalaku’ in Krishna Vamsi’s Chandamama. KM Radhakrishnan (Anand fame) composed music for this film. Navadeep, Siva Balaji, Sindhu Menon and Kajal Agarwal played the mail leads. C Kalyan is the producer. The shooting of the film is almost complete.
Vijaya Dasami music on 23 August
Kalyanram Nandamuri’s latest film Vijaya Dasari’s music will be launched on 23rd August. A song is being shot on the lead pair in Nanakram Guda studios now. Vedika plays female lead. Samudra remake this film from Tamil blockbuster Sivakasi. Movie will released on either 6th or 13th of September.

Dil Raju buys Happy Days
Sekhar Kammula arranged a special show of the double positive of his latest film Happy Days to Dil Raju yesterday night. Impressed with it, Dil Raju is said to have asked to sell him the film for the entire AP. But Sekhar Kammula is keen on releasing in Nizam and Vizag on his own. Hence it is reliably learnt that Dil Raju would be buying the screening rights for Andhra area today. RK Films that distributed Bommarillu overseas has bought Happy Days for abroad.
Sivaji in Venky and Pawan’s films
Sivaji is an utility hero in Telugu film industry who fits himself in multitude of roles. Though he is acting as hero in films, he is also taking up offers for vital characters in other films. He is also rendering his voice to dub few heroes. Currently Sivaji is doing vital roles in Venkatesh film Tulasi as the brother of heroine Nayana Tara. He is also doing an important role in Pawan Kalyan’s film in the direction of Trivikram.
Indian film festival in Canada
An Indian film festival is going to be held on Ottawa, Canada from 11 August to 26 August on the eve of India completing 60 years of independence. Prominent Hindi films like Guru, Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham, Kabhi Ha Kabi Naah, Rang De Basanti, Tara Rum Pum etc would be screened on this eve. Indian High Commission is jointly organizing this film festival with Canada Film Institute.

Pure Telugu name for Bapu’s film
There had been reports in media that Bapu’s next film is titled as ‘Pinky … Tokaleni Monkey’. But producer K Aparna informed us that they are coming up with a pure and pristine Telugu title for Bapu’s latest film with Charmme and Allari Naresh in the main leads. 50% of the shooting is complete so far. Dasari registers Ranga
Dasari Narayana Rao recently registered the title Ranga on his home banner. The film nagar started speculating that the theme of the film could be the live story of Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga and the politics in and around Vijayawada during 1980’s. We have to wait and see if it is true.

Shooting of Venkatesh’s latest film is going on a brisk pace. The unit has gone abroad last month to shoot a couple of songs on Venkatesh and Nayana Tara. The likely release date is 12 October. Boyapati Seenu (Bhadra fame) directs this film. D Suresh Babu produces this film. Tulasi is the likely title of the film.
Chiranjeevi screen names A Kodandarami Reddy’s son
Prolific film director A Kodandarami Reddy’s son Sumanth is making his debut as hero now. Since Sumanth name is already popular, A Kodandarami Reddy selected 10 likely screen names for his son and requested Chiranjeevi to pick one. Chiranjeevi picked ‘Vaibhav’. Veteran hero Sobhan Babu also liked Vaibhav name. Hence Sumanth will be launched with the screen name ‘Vaibhav’. The title of his debut film is confirmed as ‘Godava’. The shooting is completed and audio is expected very soon.

The unit of successful film Lakshyam will be touring in Ongole, Guntur, Krishna, East, west and Vizag districts from 8th August to 12th August. The tour will start in Ongole (the hometown of hero Gopichand) on 8th and will end on 12th night in Vizag. Gopichand, Anushka, Nallamalupu Bujji, Srivas and other technicians will attend this tour.

Cheran to direct Venkatesh?
Efforts are on to rope in popular Tamil director/actor Cheran to direct Venkatesh. As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Sri Sai Deva Production that produced two hit films Vasantham and AMAV with Venkatesh in the past are planning to produce a film in the combination of Venkatesh and Cheran. Cheran directed the path breaking Tamil flick ‘Autograph’.
Ramesh varma to direct Sri Sri
Popular poster designer Ramesh Varma who made his debut with Oka Voorilo is going to direct a film titled ‘Sri Sri’ very soon. A new music director called Murari will make his debut. Sunil Reddy handles cinematography. Sri Jyothy Creations that produced Kokila last year is going to produce this film. Sri Sri will go to floors in September. More details later.
Vijayendra Prasad to direct Hari Krishna
Hari Krishna is going to act in a film after a considerable gap. This film will be directed by Vijayendra Prasad who penned stories for films like Samarasimha Reddy, Simhadri, Yamadonga etc. He also made his debut as director last year with ‘Sri Krishna 2006’. This film is expected to be produced by NTR Arts that gave a blockbuster ‘Athanokkade’ in the past.

The much delayed project Allare Allari is finally hitting the screen on 10 August. This film features Venu, Allari Naresh, Parvati Melton and Mallika Kapoor in the main leads. Muppalaneni Siva directed this film. SK Basheed produced it.

Jr. Puri Jagan as Jr. Chiruta
Puri Jagan’s son is acting as childhood version of Ram Charan Teja character in Chiruta film. Puri Jagan has done a couple of sidekick roles in films like Shiva (Hindi) before becoming a full-fledged director. Puri Jagan’s younger brother Sairam Shankar too acted in sidekick roles in films like Idiot become making debut as hero with 143. 80% of the shooting of Chiruta is complete. The next schedule will start in Hyderabad in a couple of days. 3 songs are been shot so far. The unit would be going abroad to shoot two more songs.
Siddhardh to act in Bujji’s film?
As per the sources of idlebrain.com, youth heartthrob Siddhardh is expected to do Nallamalupu Bujji’s next production. Dolly is going to be introduced as director with this film. He gave story to Ravi Teja’s Bhageeratha film in the past. Siddhardh seem to have liked the storyline. The script work is currently oing on. Bujji proved to be the man with Midas touch as his ventures Lakshmi and Lakshyam turned out to be super hits.
Yamagola in Bangkok
The unit of Yamagola is in Bangkok to shoot a couple of songs. Postproduction work is going on in full swing in Hyderabad. Big music is entering Telugu film industry by making Sekhar Kammula’s youth flick ’Happy Days’ as its debut vehicle. The audio of this film is expected in the next week.
