Gudipoodi Srihari Review

The very first scene in a college campus with a group of students indulging in eve-teasing gives a taste of what is going to come. And this group announces their friend Balu (Akash) as the best boy in the campus. Aishwarya (Anupriya) confronts him and it turns out to be 'love at first sight'.

Then appear mandatory scenes to establish his heroic qualities, and when Aishwarya is about to reveal her love to him, she sees Balu, brain-washing one Shanti, about 'love' and how she mistook familiarity with opposite sex as love.

Aisswarya changes her mind about expressing her love. But, Balu who has fallen in love with Aishwarya checks himself from revealing his mind too. However, he gifts her with an electronic key chain, which upon pressing, pronounces 'I love you'. But Aishwarya never operates it almost till the end.

As a last resort, Balu pretends to be friendly with another girl (Ashita), thinking this will push Aishwarya to express her love for him.

Surya (Surya) believes that Balu and Aiswarya are afflicted with cancer. He compares their situation with that of the love pair in Maniratnam's Geetanjali. Even the college classroom scenes, with Brahmanandam playing a lecturer bog down the film.

Akash has a lot of improving to do in acting. The dubbing is equally poor. Anupriya is better, but looks older than Akash. The talent of quite a few senior artistes like Giribabu, Brahmanandam, Sudhakar, M.S. Narayana is wasted. Music by Koti is like a remix of vintage tunes.
