BV Reddy - in a pressmeet - told that the Telugu film industry is headed for a crisis due to bombing of big films which resulted in a loss of 60 crores to the industry. If you think the crisis is over with just Johnny, Palanati Brahma Naidu and Nijam, then are you are mistaken. The movies which are releasing in the months of August and September hold 100 crores.

The industry did not have a resounding box office blockbuster after 'Okkadu' in this year so far. And Telugu film industry badly needs another hit of 'Okkadu' stature to keep the buyers and exhibitors in good spirits.

In the films of high expectations we have Boys, Simhadri, Vasantham, Seetayya, Kalyana Ramudu, Sambaram, Dhum and Praanam (in that order).

The next season is going to be dussera season (September & October) where we have three biggies, Tagore (Chiranjeevi - VV Vinayak), Shivamani 90480 22338 (Nagarjuna - Puri Jagannath) and Naani (Mahesh Babu - SJ Suryah) releasing.
