Today (17 May) is Charmme birthday. The unit of her latest film Mantra celebrated the birthday of Charmme at a press conference. She spoke to scribes on this eve. Here are the excerpts - -

You seem to be giving more importance to Kannada films these day?
I feel fortunate enough to have been signed in all four south Indian languages. I will be doing a couple of Kannada film. One of these film is the Kannada remake of Lakshmi. I give equal priority to all languages. I am currently doing a Telugu film titled Mantra. I also signed another film which will go to floors very soon.

Why is the Mantra project getting delayed?
I can’t disclose the reason for delay. I can only say that we are taking more time to give your more quality output.

What is Mantra all about?
It deals with an extraordinary subject being done by fresh team. It will be one of the best movies in my career. There is no love track in Mantra. I play the role of a trendy and modern girl. Direction and screenplay are going to be assets.

What about the rumors of your marriage?
It is so surprising that I do not know about my marriage. If you inform me the groom’s name and muhurat time, I will come and attend. At present I am only concentrating on my career.

What is your target as heroine and what kind of roles you look forward to?
I don’t have any particular target as I acted with almost all big heroes. I want to do at least 10 films with each and every hero. My dream character is the one played by Tabu and Madhuri Dixit in Ninne Pelladatha and Hum Aap Ke Hain Kaun respectively.

What is the best film you have done so far?
Anukokunda Oka Roju. I rejected 3 big films to accommodate my dates to AOR. It is a heroine oriented subject. I am doing Mantra because, this film too has a strong character for heroine.

Which director you would love to work with?
Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

What is your analysis on your career?
Mantra is my 25th film. I made my debut in 2001. Though I came here 6 years back, I still feel like a newcomer. I still have to achieve a lot.
