For the first time in the history of Telugu cinema, an American actress is acting in the lead role of a Telugu film.

In Adivi Sesh's supernatural thriller, 'KARMA', Hollywood Actress Jade Tailor is playing the role of 'Padma', a Telugu-American girl, the female protagonist of the film. Padma's character is that of a pure soul, a girl whose heart knows little of the supernatural evil in her town. Padma's life takes a massive jolt as she becomes witness to the growing evil surrounding her, before she herself gets trapped in it.

It is important to note that Jade's involvement in the project is not simply that of an item song, or in the glamorized role of a foreign girlfriend. In fact, Jade was so dedicated to the project that she arrived three months before the commencement of shooting, so that she could learn every cultural aspect and emotional nuance of her character. In those three months, she spent ten weeks near the Adivi family and other Indians, as she tried to understand Telugu culture to help her role in the film. Additionally, she worked hard to get all the emotional subtleties correctly, so she could do justice to the script. It is inspiring to see this effort made by a non-Telugu actress, especially in an era when actresses have been relegated to the backseat in many films.

"KARMA - Do You Believe?" is being directed by Adivi Sesh and is presented by Sai Kiran Adivi. The film stars Adivi Sesh and Jade.

Jade was born on August 12th 1985 in Hollywood California. Her mother Sally was an actress and ballet Captain in the Ice Capades. Her father, an Israeli born diamond dealer and contractor. Being born in the movie capitol of the world to artistic parents, Jade showed a passion for the arts at a very young age. She had her first ballet recital at the age of four, her first singing recital at age 8, and began taking acting classes at age 11. She continued to study acting, voice, music, and dance throughout her life, later attending a predominantly performing arts based high school. At the age of sixteen, she had her first professional recording session with George from Cool in the Gang and was soon after invited to sing the National Anthem at a Los Angeles Clippers game. After a few years studying the theatre in New York City she decided to return to LA to pursue her career on the big and small screen. Today, Jade is successfully working in Hollywood.
