There was a news that Nayantara would quit films and propbably Sri Ramrajyam was her last film. As it turned out to be, Nayantara has decided to act in films again. Recently she is in news when she rejected the South remake of Dirty Picture as she didn't want to spoil the image she got by carrying off Seeta role gracefully in Sri Ramarajyam film. She rejected a paycheck of Rs. 2 crores for the same.

She is currently acting as heroine in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum opposite Rana in the direction of Krish. She is playing the role of a journalist named Devika. She is also acting in a Gopichand film titled 'Jaganmohan IPS'. She has also committed a film with Nagarjuna (Dasarath's film?). She also has a couple of Tamil projects lined up.
