RGV's Shock with Ravi Teja
Ram Gopal Varma's Telugu film with Ravi Teja is titled as 'Shock'. Ram Gopal Varma announced the same in a press meet held at Taj Banjara for 1st July release Sarkar that was also attended by Abhishek Bachchan. He also said that he is open to make Telugu films and has several suitable subjects for the same.

Tammareddy Bharadwaja directs a film
Veteran producer and director Tammareddy Bharadwaja is currently directing a heroine-oriented film with Sindhu Tolani as heroine. Siva Balaji is paired up with Sindhu in this film. C Ram Prasad handles camera. Praveen Kumar (one of the producers of RPG banner that produced Kalusukovalani) is producing this film. Shooting of this film was started on 24th of this month.

Bhageeratha talkie completed
The talkie part of Ravi Teja's latest film Bhageeratha completed. Shriya is playing female lead. Cameraman turned director Rasool is directing this film. Shooting of the songs would take place from the 1st week of July. Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy is producing this film on Anandam Academy banner. Chakri scores music. Athadu audio released
Audio of Mahesh Babu's Athadu was released by Superstar Krishna at the house set of the film constructed at Nanakramguda. This album consists of six melodies composed by Mani Sharma. Maruthi Music has bought the rights of this audio. This simple function was attended by Krishna, Mahesh Babu, Trisha, D Kishore, Murali Mohan and Pawan (Maruthi Music). Mahesh Babu participated in chitchat with press on this eve.

Ravi Teja has grabbed the attention of Ram Gopal Varma. As per the unconfirmed reports, Ravi Teja would be acting in the comeback Telugu film of Ram Gopal Varma. The other details are being worked out.

Sakshi Ranga Rao is no more
Veteran Telugu character actor Sakshi Ranga Rao - who made his debut with old Bapu's classic Sakshi - is no more. He expired at a corporate hospital in Chennai on 27th June. He is 63 and survived by two sons and a daughter. He acted in more than 800 films. His last appearance was in Swarabhishekam film. May his soul rest in peace!

Mahanandi title for Sumanth film
Mahanandi is the titled under consideration for Sumanth's film in the direction of V Samudra. Srihari plays an important of Sumanth's close friend in this film. Venkatesh is likely to act in a film titled 'Pakkinti Abbayi'. This film would have Sneha as heroine. Muppalaneni Siva is likely to direct this film. Supergood banner that produced Raja, Suryavamsam and Sankranthi would produce this film. Incidentally the combination of Venkatesh - Sneha - Muppalaneni Siva and Supergood banner delivered the Sankranthi blockbuster this year.

Allu Arjun in Sukumar's direction
AlluArjun who made it big with Arya film in the direction of Sukumar would be acting in the second film of Sukumar. This film would also be produced by Dil Raju who produced Arya. It is not known if the story of this film is going to be that of Sri Sri or not. The office of Allu Arjun confirmed about the proposal of this film.

Kota and Jeeva in Sarkar

Audio of Mahesh Babu's much awaited big budget flick Athadu would finally arrive on 29th of June. Maruthi music has bought the audio rights by paying fancy amount. Mani Sharma composed six tunes. Trisha is the heroine. Trivikram directs this film. D Kishore produces this film on Jayabheri banner. Athadu is likely to release in the second half of July 2005.

Srihari in Vishnu's film
After NVNV, Srihari is flooded with offers to do the role of character artist. He is currently doing important roles in Kamal Hassan's Magadeera and Sumanth's film in the direction of Samudra. Now Srihari would be doing another important role in Vishnu's latest film in the direction of Seenu Vytla. Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy (producer of Bunny) would produce this film. Ranam to start tomorrow
Pokuri Babu Rao who produced the blockbuster Yagnam with Gopichand as hero would be producing another film titled Ranam. Choreographer Raja Sekhar would be making his debut as director through this film. Biju Menon - an actor from Kerala - would be introduced as villain though this film. Aditya Akkineni - son of Venkat Akkineni and grandson of ANR - is a Go-karting professional. He won the 1st round of Go-karting championship at Coimbatore on 19th June. Super climax in Mumbai
Climax of Nagarjuna's latest film Super is currently going on in Mumbai now. Audio of this film was released and met with good response. Audio CD of this film would sport an additional remix of the song which would come in the background during titles of the film. This film sports Ayesha Takia and Anushka (Sweety) as heroines. Sandeep Chowta provided music. Puri Jagan directed this film. Super would be releasing in either first or second week of July 2005.

Guna Sekhar to direct Allu Arjun
It is reliably learnt that Guna Sekhar would be directing the 4th film Allu Arjun. The story was narrated to Allu Arjun a couple of days back and got a go ahead. It is not known if the subject narrated to Allu Arjun is that of Kathi, which is supposed to have been made by keeping NTR in mind. This film is likely to go to floors soon.

Nitin's double trouble
The latest film of Nitin is being titled as Allari Bolluds. It is learnt that Nitin would be playing a double role in this film. Trisha is paired with Nitin. K Raghavendra Rao is directing this film on Sri Creations banner. K Anil produces it. Shooting of this film is nearing completion.

Chinni Krishna blames it on TFI
Chinni Krishna blamed Telugu film industry for not giving him the chance of becoming a director. He visited the venue of the success meet of Aparichitudu to meet director Shankar. He said that his ambition is to become a big director like Shankar. His Badrinath script was rejected by Allu Arjun and Prabhas. His Nandeeswarudu script is put on hold by Bala Krishna. In another function, he asked hero Vikram to act in a terrific script he has. Chinni Krishna seems to be using the functions and success meets of other films effectively to convey his personal ambitions.

RP to direct a short film
RP Patnaik is planning to direct a short film of 22 minutes duration. This film would have only three characters to be played by Raja, Veda and Raghu Babu. This film would also be a silent film with no dialogues. RP Patnaik is making this film by keeping film festivals in mind. He would shot the film in the month of July 2005. Chandra Sekhar Reddy - a new producer - would be producing this film.

A film by Arvind on 1st July
Sridhar - a new producer - is producing a thriller titled 'A Film by Arvind' on Sridhar Cinema banner. Sekhar Suri (Adrustam fame) directs this film. Rishi (brother of Shalini), Rajiv Kanakala and Mona Chopra are playing main leads. KS Rama Rao presents this film. Krishna Vamsi appreciated the director after seeing the rushes of the film. Sonu Sood gets lucky
There are many youth heroes whose films are not doing well at box office. Yet they want to do solo hero films and do mind playing vital roles in the films starring successful heroes. Hence our filmmakers are forced to import heroes from other languages for such roles. Sonu Sood is the one who seems to have proved lucky this time. Sonu Sood was initially introduced as villain in Telugu with Ravi Babu's film Ammailu Abbailu. He recently did a small role Rajnikant's Chandramukhi. He is currently doing a very important role (almost equivalent to that of hero) in Nagarjuna's Super. He is also doing another big role (not that of a villain) in Athadu film by Mahesh Babu. Likewise, Jhal Hansraj too did a vital role in Soggadu as none of the Telugu youth heroes came forward to do that role.

Govinda's daughter in the city
Narmada Ahuja - daughter of Bollywood film star Govinda - is in Hyderabad to promote her father's film Sukh produced on Govinda No.1 banner. This film features Govinda, Preeti Jingiani, Chunky Pande and Arti Chabria. Sukh is releasing on 17th June. Narmada Ahuja completed her graduation in diamonds related field.

Andarivadu pirated VCDs confiscated
Thousands of pirated VCDs of Chiranjeevi's latest film Andarivadu were confiscated from a warehouse in Bangalore. Anti Piracy Cell coordinated the entire operation in coordination with Bangalore police after taking information from Chiranjeevi fans.

Karate Kalyani complains
Karate Kalyani - a small time character actress who is known for vamp kind of roles - has complained in Jubilee Hills Police station that a small-time lyricist has cheated her after promising to marry her while using her for 3 years. She also held press meet to announce the same.

Is Remo Aparichitudu?
Vikram would be playing different get-ups in Aparichitudu film. If you listen to the first song of the album, you realize that it is about a super-human power possessed guy called Remo (played by Vikram). Vikram is also playing the role of a traditional Brahmin lawyer. Director Shankar always succeeded in a big way whenever he chose social-based subjects like Gentleman, Bharateeyudu and Oke Okkadu. Athanokkade 100 days function on Harikrishna birthday
Latest slick blockbuster Athanokkade starring Kalyan Ram is doing good business everywhere. This film celebrated platinum disc function on 10th June at Bramarambha Theater, Kukatpally with Bala Krishna, Hari Krishna and Rama Krishna gracing the occasion as guests. Kalyan Ram proudly announced that the 100 days function of this film would be celebrated on 2nd September which happens to be the birthday of his father Hari Krishna.

Super audio on 11th June
Audio of Nagarjuna's latest film Super is postponed from 9th June to 11th June. Audio would be released at a function arranged in Annapurna studios on 11th June. This film is expected to release either in the last week of June of 1st week of July. Sandeep Chowta scored music for a Telugu film after Ninne Pelladatha, Chandralekha and Premakatha. Ayesha Takia and Anushka (Sweety) are playing female leads. Puri Jagan directed this flick.

Anjaneya Pushpanand story to NBK film
Anjaneya Pushpanand, who provided story to Bala Krishna's blockbusters Lorry Driver and Rowdy Inspector, would be providing story for Bala Krishna's film. This film would be directed by AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary and produced by Ambika Arts banner. Mani Sharma would score music. Bhumika Chawla and Sameera Reddy are expected to play female leads. This film would be launch in this month end.

106 cases booked by Anti piracy cell
Producer Shyam Prasad Reddy conceptualized and created Anti Piracy Cell that consists of 42 retired police officers who are spread across AP residing in various district. There is a control room in the building of AP Film Chamber of Commerce that has a toll-free number 1600 4250 111. All the complaints about piracy would be received here and would be routed to the zonal officers who verify the veracity of information. Upon confirmation, they would report the same to local police and make sure that appropriate action is taken. They would also frame charge sheet against the accused. Kesava Reddy, an ex IPS officer would over see the entire operation. 106 cases have been registered so far. The screws are being tightened on the piracy in a sustained operation. This Anti Piracy Cell is expected the video piracy to minimum level in the near future.

Kotha Katha started
Debutant director R Venu is directing a bilingual film titled Kotha Katha. Muhurat of this film was held at Nanakramguda studios on 8th June. Ghantadi Krishna is scoring music. This film has Mitra and Vikram Prodduturi in the main leads. Shooting of this film would start on 10th August and would be released in the month of September. Okkadu in Kannada
Punit Rajkumar would be acting in Kannada remake of Okkadu film. This film would be directed by Mehar Ramesh who directed veera Kannadiga (Andhrawala in Telugu) in the past with the same hero. Mehar Ramesh worked in direction department with Puri Jagan in the past. Mani Sharma would score music. Marthand K Venkatesh would edit the film. There is a 2-yap mandatory gap for remaking other languages films in Kannada. Hence it took so long to start Kannada version. This film would be releasing in July 2006.

Sunil bike scene edited in Andarivadu
The bike scene episode in which Sunil would be hanging on to the speeding bike was trimmed by around 30 seconds in theaters playing Andarivadu film. This was done after getting feedback from various places.

Valayam on 10th June
Dayanand who worked in Pawan Kalyan Creative Works team from Kushi to Gundumba Shankar would be making his debut as hero with Valayam film. He also provides story and screenplay. Maddireddy Preveen Reddy is producing this film on Success Media Makers banner. Rajendra Reddy directed this film. Narsing Yadav played the role of villain.

Rama Naidu to donate 10 lakhs to Film Critics Association

Bomb scare at Prasads
There was a bomb threat at Prasads multiplex at 8:45 pm on 6th June. The entire Prasads multiplex was evacuated by police as they searched the entire premises for the alleged bomb. This action was taken after an unidentified caller informed cops about the alleged bomb. All the patrons were forced to leave the packed screens in the middle of screened.

Chiranjeevi asks fans not to imitate Govindarajulu

The prints of Chiranjeevi's latest film Andarivadu were dispatched to all the areas by 5 pm on 3rd June. This film would be releasing on 4th June in all areas. Andarivadu release on 4th June
Film release of Chiranjeevi's Andarivadu is shifted from 3rd June to 4th June. The reason for delay of the film is technical (graphics). It was initially slated for the release of 1st June. It was later shifted to 2nd and then to 3rd. As the schools are re-opening from 13th of this month onwards, it is vital for this film to be released in this week to exploit the maximum advantage this summer offers.

Usha's marriage on 12th June
Popular singer Usha is entering the wedlock on 12th June in Hyderabad with Sreekanth Devarakonda who is currently working as business analyst in Pricewater HouseCoopers, USA. He has done his MBA. Ban lifted on Teja
The non-cooperation imposed on Teja was lifted yesterday following a discussion between the vital personalities of AP Film Chamber of Commerce. A committee was set up to look into the issue and solve the situation amicably. The shooting of Teja's film would be resumed from 2nd June. This film stars Vishnu as hero.

D Rama Naidu's film with NTR
In chitchat with press, D Rama Naidu said that NTR has given dates to him to make the remake of legend NTR's blockbuster Ramudu Bheemudu. This film would commence its shooting in this year only. It may be known to the visitors of idlebrain.com that Suresh Productions chipped in valuable help to bail Narasimhudu film out during release crisis.

2.5 crores for Super thrills
Nagarjuna has spent around 2.5 crores to picturize action sequences of 'Super' film that were composed by Alan Amin and Vijay. This film has bike chase sequences. Annapurna Studios imported two special bikes for this purpose. Ayesha Takia and Anushka are playing female leads. Sandeep Chowta scored music. Audio of this film would be released on 5th June. The Cigarette Censor on the screen
Coming August 1st, you will no longer get to see Rajini Kanth tossing a cigarette stylishly into his mouth or Sharukh Khan casually taking a puff in front of the TV camera as smoking scenes will be banned in Television and Films. In its latest order, Union Health Ministry has issued directives banning all smoking scenes and display of tobacco products in films and television serials. With this, India becomes the first country to ban smoking/tobacco products on screen. Films and programmes that have already been done and include scenes of smoking/tobacco products will have to run a horizontal scroll message indicating the hazards of smoking.
