Mani Sharma's music to Puri Jagan film
Puri Jagan has stuck with Chakri for all the films starting 'Itlu Sravani Subramanyam' to '143'. He preferred Sandeep Chowta for Super film as that film needs trendy music. His next film with Mahesh Babu as hero would have Mani Sharma scoring the music. This film is being produced by Manjula and Puri Jagan jointly. Muhurat of this film was held in May and it is slated to go to floors in the month of August. Most of the Mahesh Babu's films sport the music by Mani Sharma.

MPOD in USA by Indus Entertainment
The worldwide theatrical screening rights of Mogudu Pellam O Dongodu (MPOD) are grabbed by Indus Entertainment (formerly Indus Films). This film has only three characters played by Raja, Shriya and Brahmanandam. Venky (of Kabaddi Kabaddi fame) directed this film. Indus Entertainment has distributed films like Manoharam, Priyuralu Pilichindi, Priyamaina Neeku and Ninne Premistha in USA in the past. Siddardha (NVNV fame) would be doing a vital role in Venkatesh's film Aata which would be produced by MS Raju on Sumanth Arts banner. Sobhan (Varsham fme) would direct this film. Bhupati Raja provides story. Devi Sri Prasad scores music. This film would go to floors during the finishing stages of shooting of Pornami film. There would be two heroines in this film. Sada is selected as heroine for Venky's film 'Lakshmi' which would be directed by VV Vinayak. There would be another heroine in this film. Trisha is one of the finest and the most popular actresses of Telugu cinema. Even a slightest aberration on her personal front could make a front page news. She is in news now for dancing with friends in the state of being inebriated by putting the car stereo in full volume in the beach road of east coast in Chennai on the night of Tuesday. The neighbors in that area lodged a police complaint. The police said to have warned Trisha not to cause public nuisance another time.

Mahesh Babu visited temple in Tirumala today along with his wife Namrata to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateswara. He also visited the Pathala Vinayaka temple in Tirupathi and broke 101 coconuts. Allari Bullodu title is confirmed for Nitin's latest film in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao. Producer Anil said that this film would become a big blockbuster on his Sri Creations banner. As per the unconfirmed sources, Krishna Vamsi's latest film Danger would have no songs. This film is going to be the first song-less Krishna Vamsi film. Most of the shooting of the film so far happened in forest area near Vikarabad. Sairam Shankar, Allari Naresh and Abhi are playing male leads. Swathi (Color fame) and Shireen (Juniors heroine) are doing female lead roles. 60% of the shooting is over. This film is being produced by Sunkara madhu Murali on Karthikeya Creations banner that produced successful Khadgam in the past.

Swetha 7th A in August
A Sitarama Rao produced a children film titled 'Swetha 7th A' on Sri Hanuman Creations banner. This film is about how children are being forced into heavy education by the greediness of their parents. This results in the suicide attempts by some of the kids who can't cope up with the pressure of achieving high results in education. APFDC (AP Film Development Corporation) has given subsidy for this film and granted tax-free status. NN Srinivas - a protégé of Jandhyala - directed this film. This film would hit the marquee in the month of August.

Just Yellow Media's latest film Anukokunda Oka Roju opened with decent collections in USA last week. Around 801 people watched in San Jose and 446 people watched in Dallas. This film is releasing in Atlanta, GA on 22nd July. The Australia release of this film also met with encouraging response.

Govt's film institute in Yanam
The Government of Pondicherri has decided to start a film institute in Yanam with an investment of 10 crores in association with Regency Group of Companies. N Rangasamy - Chief Minister of Pondicherri - passed a bill in Assembly yesterday. With a film institute coming up in Yanam which is physically located almost inside AP, the wannabe film artists/technicians would have a thing to cheer about.

The much awaited Nagarjuna's trendy flick Super is releasing on 21st July of this month. This film sports Ayesha Takia, Anushka and Sonu Sood in the important roles. Music of Super - scored by Sandeep Chowta - has become big hit. This film is said to have stylish taking, sophisticated fights, lighter-vein comedy and chic songs picturization. Puri Jagan directed this film and Annapurna studios produced it.

Chiranjeevi and the team of Jai Chiranjeeva completed shooting a few vital scenes and a couple of songs in USA. A huge city set is being constructed in Annapurna 7 acres for this film. Aswini Dutt - Chiranjeevi combinations films like Choodalani Vundi and Indra had the Calcutta set and Kasi set constructed at the same place. Bhumika Chawla and Sameera Reddy are doing female leads. C Aswini Dutt produces this film in the direction of K Vijaya Bhaskar. Shooting in this city set would take place from 25th of this month. The tentative release date of Jai Chiranjeeva is 1st December 2005.

Athadu on 5th August
Shooting of the last song (Avunu nijam - nuvvante nakistam) of Mahesh Babu's film Athadu is being picturised in sets erected at padmalaya studios on 15th July. Shooting of this song would be completed by 20th July. The audio of this film is doing extremely well. Trisha is the heroine. Trivikram directed this film. Athadu is releasing on 5th of August on the eve of Mahesh Babu's birthday (9th August).

Soorya Kiran to direct Sumanth again
Soorya Kiran who directed Satyam and Dhana 51 with Sumanth as hero would be directing another film to Sumanth again. This film would be produced by Katragadda Lokesh. Katragadda Lokesh produced hit film Bhadrachalam with Srihari as hero in the past. Script work for this film is currently going on.

Aamani attempts suicide
Actress Aaamani attempted suicide along with her husband Khaza Mohiddeen by consuming around 40 sleeping pills. The reasons for suicide is said to be the stalling of the two big budgeted films in Tamil that are being produced by Khaza Mohiddeen. The pressure from film financiers forced them to the ultimate act of attempting suicide. Aamani and her husband are recuperating in a private hospital in Chennai now. Aamani recently acted in a film titled 'Aa Naluguru' with Rajendra Prasad as hero.

Anti piracy cell in swift action
The recently incorporated Anti Video Piracy Cell (AVPC) is doing the eradication of the piracy very quickly. It has booked 106 cases in May month and 142 cases in June month. With the help of AVPC, the cops have arrested a cable operator in Palamaneru for showing NVNV film. They also arrested a pirate who tried to shoot Jagapati film using phone camera in Satyam theater, Hyderabad. Film Chamber of Commerce President N Sudhakar Reddy said that he would do everything to eradiate video piracy in six months.

Seven filmfares for Chiranjeevi
The Filmfare award he got for Shankar Dad MBBS film is his 7th filmfare award. He won Filmfare awards six times before for the films Punnami Nagu (1980), Subhalekha (1981), Rudraveena (1988), Mutamestri (1993), Sneham Kosam (1999) and Indra (2002). Chiranjeevi is the only Telugu hero to receive best actor award from Filmfare for seven times.

Kalaipuli S Thanu is making a Tamil film titled Thotti Jaya with Simbhu (Silambarasan in Tamil) and Gopika in the main leads in the direction of Durai. Production of the film is completed and postproduction work is going on. D Suresh Babu happened to see the rushes and is impressed with the film. He has decided to remake this film in Telugu in association of Tamil producer Kalaipuli S Thanu. The other details are being worked out. The heroes considered to play the male lead in this film are Venkatesh and Pawan Kalyan.

RP Patnaik has completed the shooting of his short feature film '22 Minutes' starring Raja, Veda and Raghubabu. This film has three characters and film's duration is 22 minutes. RP Patnaik has completed shooting this film in 4 days. Budget of the film is 6 lakhs. Postproduction work is currently going. RP Patnaik is directing this flick. He is making this film by keeping the film festivals in mind.

Bosco Caesar gets busy in Telugu

Akash threatens producer
Hero Akash (Anandam fame) has acted in 30th June released film 'Guru'. This film became a flop and was duly lifted from the city after a week. Hero Akash, who is upset over the film's flop attributed the reason to lack of promotion by the film's promoter (Tamil producer's man in Hyderabad), is said to have threatened the film's promoter M Ankamma Rao. Ankamma Rao gave a written complaint against hero Akash yesterday at Sanath Nagar Police Station. However, it was duly withdrawn after the timely intervention of MAA (Movie Artists Association).

Gangaraju Gunnam would be producing and directing the next venture of Just Yellow banner that produced classic hits like Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju. He made his debut as director with Little Soldiers long back. Later on he produced films like Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju. He has a couple of bound scripts ready now. This venture is likely to be launched either in September of this year or January of 2006.

Tamil offers for Smita
Smita's Tamil album Kalakal (Tamil version of Telugu pop album 'Club Mix') has become a big hit. She got pretty popular with Tamil crowds with her crooning in Kalakal. She is said to be approached by quite a few Tamil film producers to cast in her in their films. However, Smita seems to be noncommittal about the same. She did a small but vital role in last year's hit flick Malliswari.

Baladitya turns lyricist
Baladitya - who made his debut as hero with Jaya's Chantigadu - penned lyrics for the song of 'kanulamundu' in unreleased film Premikulu. Premikulu stars Kamna Jetmalani and Yuvaraj in the main leads. This is the second venture for lady director Jaya. Dasari Narayana Rao has bought the distribution rights of Nagarjuna's latest flick 'Super' for Vizag territory. He distributed his own films like Osey Ramulamma, Kondaveeti Simhasanam etc for Vizag in the past. For the first time, he bought a film from outside and distributing it for Vizag. Super is releasing on 22nd of July.

Mumaith Khan's item song in Chatrapati
Mumaith Khan, who shot to fame with her item song 'Dekh Le' in Munnabhai MBBS, has performed for an item song in SS Rajamouli's film Chatrapati. Prabhas and Shriya play main leads in this film. Smita - who did excellent work with Sye song and 'Evaraina' (AOR) in recent times - has sung this item song. This film would be released in the month of September.

Oka Oorilo success meet
Producer Chanti Addala arranged a press meet today to tell about the success of Oka Oorilo. He said that this film brought the biggest openings in the career of Tarun. Tarun said that he liked the climax of the film. Tarun opined that lyricist Anant Sreeram has tremendous future in Telugu film industry. Chanti felt that music by Devi Sri Prasad and cinematography by Arjun Jana are the highlights of the film.

4 projects by Suresh Productions
D Rama Naidu and D Suresh Babu would be producing two films each in the coming month. D Suresh Babu would be producing a film with NTR as hero in the direction of Udaya Shankar (Kalisundam Raa fame). Nallamalapu Bujji would be producing a film with Venkatesh as hero in the direction of VV Vinayak. Suresh Productions would also be involved in producing this film. D Rama Naidu is planning to do a film with Sivaji and Meera Jasmine (Ammayi Bagundi combination) in the main leads. The talks are currently going on for this film. D Rama Naidu would also be producing another film with R Narayana Murthy as hero in the direction of Boyina Subba Rao. This film would be made with a shoestring budget of approximately 55 lakhs.

Danger without lights
Krishna Vamsi would be making his next venture 'Danger' without using lights. He would be shooting the entire film in natural light using ARRI3 camera. Sai Ram Shankar (brother of Puri Jagan), Allari Naresh and Abhishek (Aithe fame) would play the main leads. Swathi (of Colors fame) is likely play one of the heroines character. This film would be made on a ultra-low budget. Krishna Vamsi himself would produce this venture.

Chandar Sekhar Yeleti to do a love story
Chandra Sekhar Yeleti - who proved himself as the most gifted director with authentic style with Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju - would be directing a film soon. This film would be a love story. We need to wait and watch how differently he would be making that film.

A real life incident inspired the story of MS Raju's latest film Pornami. MS Raju is giving story and screenplay for this film. Prabhas, Trisha, Charmy, Sindhu Tolani and Madhu Sharma are playing mail leads. Prabhu Deva is directing this violent love story. 'On fire' would be the tagline of Pournami film. Devi Sri Prasad composed music. This film would go to floors in this month and would be released for Sankranthi 2006.

Mohan Babu to play Tani Sha in Sri Ramadasu
Mohan Babu is known for his great dialogue delivery and uttering pristine Telugu in his own style. He played the role of King Saluva Narasimha Raya in Nagarjuna - K Raghavendra Rao's devotional blockbuster Annamayya. He is likely to be roped in to play the role of King Abu Hasan Tani Sha. King Tani Sha jails Sri Ramadasu for misuse the empire's money to construct a temple for Sri Ramadasu. He later realizes the great devotion of Sri Ramadasu and sets him free. ANR is playing Kabirdas role in the same film. We need to wait and see who would be playing the role of Lord Rama. This film is slowing turning in to a multi-starrer. Sri Ramadasu would commence regular shooting from 6th of August.

Yuan Shankar Raja to score for Nitin's film
Yuan Shankar Raja would be scoring for a straight Telugu film for the first time for a Nitin's film. This film would be directed by N Shankar (of Sri Ramulayya fame). N Sudhakar Reddy - father of Nitin - would produce this film. Genelia and Reema Sen would play the female leads.

Uday Kiran in Bala Chandar's film

Super on 22nd July
Nagarjuna's latest trendy film Super is all set to release on 22nd of this month. It took around 130 working days to shoot this biggest budget film ever made by Annapurna banner. Ayesha Takia and Anushka are paired up with Nagarjuna. Sonu Sood plays an important role. Music of the film has become already popular. Puri Jagan directed this flick.

Heroines parade in Pournami
Four heroines are going to glitter along with the youth mass star Prabhas in MS Raju's next venture Pournami in the direction of Prabhudeva. These heroines are Trisha, Charmy, Sindhu Tolani and Madhu Sharma. MS Raju is on roll after delivering three continuous blockbusters Okkadu, Varsham and NVNV. Devi Sri Prasad scores music. This film would go to floors very soon. The tentative release date of Pournami film is 14th January 2006.

Nuvvante Naakistam shoot completed
The shooting of EVV's latest film 'Nuvvante Naakistam' with his sons Aryan Rajesh and Naresh as heroine is completed. Audio scored by Koti would be releasing on 10th of July. A couple of songs of this film were canned in Singapore. This film is a village love story with ample comedy. Anu Mehta (of Arya fame) is playing female lead. This film would be releasing in the first week of August.

Abhinaya Sri to sizzle in TANA
Abhinaya Sri - the tempress of Telugu cinema - is going to entertain NRIs in USA with her sizzling performance in 15th TANA Conference that starts today in Detroit. Other film stars who are going to entertain Telugu NRIs are Brahmanandam, Venu Madhav, Paruchuri Brothers and Laya. Allari Ravi is choreographing the entire Telugu film celebrity shows in TANA. Many more Telugu film celebrities are expected in join in the final hour. Around 8000 people have booked reservations so far for TANA. The TANA banquet which is going to kick off TANA celebrations would be attended by an amazing 2000 Telugu NRIs.

Chitram Seenu arrested
Popular Telugu film comedy actor Chitram Seenu got arrested on 30th of June on the charges of bigamy (IPC 494) in Krishna Nagar. He married Mani and Umarani independently without letting each other know about it. Uma Rani came to know about the bigamy of Chitram Seenu and lodged a police complaint. Chitram Seenu tried to threaten Uma Rani to withdraw complaint. The police have put up four more cases on Chitram Seenu in addition to bigamy. It is sad to see that career of comedy artist like Chitram Seenu ending up in police lockup tragically.

Sairam in Danger
Sairam Shankar - the kid brother of director Puri Jagan - would do the male lead of Krishna Vamsi's latest film Danger along with other heroes like Allari Naresh and Abhishek (Aithe fame). There would be two heroines in this film. This film Danger would be made on low budget. Krishna Vamsi who faced two consecutive flops like Sri Anjaneyam & Chakram is very much determined to produce a hit film. He is going to make Danger film on a shoestring budget.

Telugu film industry is going to witness another suspense thriller in the form 'A film by Aravind'. This film is being directed by Sekhar Suri of Adrustam fame. Rishi (bother of Shalini & Shamili), Rajiv Kanakala, Mona Chopra are playing main leads. This film deals with the story of a film crew. Rajiv Kanakala plays the director and Rishi plays the hero of the film that is being shot inside the film 'A film by Aravind'. KS Rama Rao is presenting this film.
