Suresh to do a big Tamil film
As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Suresh Kondeti who is riding on success with the blockbuster Premiste would be making a film in Tamil very soon. This Tamil film would be remake of a big Telugu blockbuster. A big director is going to direct this film. More details later.

P Leela is no more
P Leela (76) - female playback singer of yesteryears - expired in Chennai. She rendered her voice to many songs in golden classics like Maya Bazaar, Pathala Bhairavani, Gundamma Katha etc. She started her career as singer at a tender age of 13 with a Tamil film titled Kankanam. She sang memorable songs like Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo and Entha Ghatu Premayo. May her soul rest in peace.

Mazaa with 450 prints on 1st November
The Telugu and Tamil versions of Vikram's latest film Mazaa are going to be released on 1st November with an amazing 450 prints. The Tamil version would be releasing in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. The Telugu version would release in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. Asin plays female lead. Vidya Sagar provides music. Malayalam director Shafi directs this film. Telugu version of this film is releasing on 4th of November in USA.

Ghazani sold for 52 lakhs for Vizag
A new distributor has bought dubbing film Ghazani for 52 lakhs for Vizag territory. Dubbing films did an amazing business in Vizag territory this year. Chandramukhi collected 1.36 crores in total run in Vizag. Aparichitudu collected 1.6 crores so far and it is expected to collect at least 10 more lakhs in total run. Incidentally, Aparichitudu is the biggest grosser in terms of share in Vizag territory (that's too after paying 20% tax for dubbed films in stead of 7% or 14% tax for the straight films). Recent release Premiste too has become a hit. Telugu version of Ghazani is releasing on 4th of November.

Sri Ramadasu to shoot in Karnataka
Nagarjuna's devotional epic Sri Ramadasu would be going to Kasaravelli in Karnataka on 3rd of November for a 20-days schedule. IT raids in Chennai
Officials of Income Tax raided the houses and establishments of several Tamil film personalities like AR Rehman, Vikram, Vijay, Yuan Shankar Raja, Trisha, Sneha, Oscar Ravi Chandran etc. These raids began at 8 am today morning. It may be noted that 31st of this month is the last day for filing income tax returns for the individual tax payers.

EVV's Kithakithalu
EVV is planning to direct a film called Kithakithalu. This film would have his son Naresh playing the hero role. It is going to be a comedy flick featuring lots of comedy actors. Script work of this film is currently going on. This film would be launched very soon.

Rajnikant seem to have told Shankar that he is looking for a script that transforms a zero into a hero. Shriya is going to play female lead in Sivaji film. AR Rehman scores music. Sukumar's script work for Tarun
As per the unconfirmed news, Tarun is going to act in one of the future projects of ML Kumar Chowdary which is going to be directed by Uday Bhaskar. Uday Bhaskar worked for Sukumar's debut film Arya. It is learnt that Sukumar would be providing fine inputs in the script of Uday Bhaskar's film.

The Angrez on 28th Nov
M Sridhar Rao who produced 'A Film by Aravind' in the direction of Sekhar Suri produced a crossover film titled 'The Angrez'. This film deals with two software professionals who return to Hyderabad after a long gap. This film is about what happens when friction arises between them and a few baddies in old city due to certain misinterpreted English words. Filmmaker Nikhil Kuntaa is an NRI who worked for several Hollywood projects. He also acted one of the heroes. A rap song titled 'Hyderabad Biryani' is going to be a tribute to the spirit of Hyderabad. The conversations in this film are going to be mostly in English with little bit of Urdu and Telugu. This film is releasing in Hyderabad on 28th of this month.

Richard Gere visited the house of Mohan Babu on the morning of Sunday (23rd October). Mohan Babu said that he invited Richard Gere in the capacity of MAA (Movie Artists Association) President. Richard Gere is in city to promote awareness about AIDS. Mohan Babu promised the cooperation of MAA to Richard on this issue. Richard was also shown clippings from Mohan Babu's films like Major Chandrakanth, Pedarayudu and Alludu Garu.

Raghupati Award to C Krishnaveni
Actress and producer of yesteryears C Krishnaveni Devi is going to receive Raghupati Venkaiah award this year. She started her career as child actress at the age of 10 with 'Sati Anasuya' film. She acted as heroine in 'Gaja Devayani' at the age of 13. She got married to Raja of Mirjapur in 1941. Then she constructed Sobhanachalam studios for film shooting. She also started her own banner Jaya Pictures (which later on changed to Lakshmi Combines). She acted in 25 films and produced over 30 films. She introduced legends like NTR and SVR with her film Mana Desam. She produced films in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. She is of 80 years old now.

Krishna Vamsi's song-less film Danger is all set to hit the marquee on 29th of this month. Sairam Shankar (143 fame), Allari Naresh, Abhishek, Swati (Colors fame) and Shireen are playing main leads. Joshua Sridhar provided background music. Krishna Vamsi is maintaining ultra low profile for this film. This thriller is made on limited budget.

Deepti to direct Andala Ramudu

GV Prasad - son of Ghattamaneni Hanumantha Rao (brother of Superstar Krishna) - has recently started production of his film with Rajendra Prasad and Srikanth as heroes in the direction of SV Krishna Reddy. Bhageeratha Vizag & East release on 14th
Ravi Teja's Bhageeratha film is released in entire AP on 13th of this month except for Vizag and East Godavari territories. This film would be releasing on 14th of October in these two areas. The reason for this delay is the last minute printing problem. Since the producer is releasing on his own in these two areas, he gave preference to the prints to other areas first. The openings for Bhageeratha film are terrific.

Uday Kiran's Abaddam in Nov/Dec
K Balachandar is directing his 101 film Poi with Uday Kiran as hero. Prakash Raj is producing the Tamil version. Anandi Arts is producing the Telugu version of this film with the title 'Abaddam'. Sai Kumar political aspirations
Sai Kumar has campaigned heavily for BJP last year in Karnataka. He has got lots of popularity in Karnataka through his hero roles in Kannada films. There were even rumors that he was considered for a MP ticket in Karnataka during last elections. Maestro Ilayaraja is going to perform live for music lovers on 16th October (Sunday) at Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai. He would explain how music is integrated into every man's life. A special song which is composed using only three swaras would be performed on that day (which is never done by any musician before). He would also perform his popular songs in new tunes.

Premiste on 12th Oct
Premiste - Telugu dubbing version of Tamil blockbuster Kaadhal - would be releasing on 12th of October on the eve of Vijaya Dasami. Popular director Shankar produced this film in the direction of Balaji Shaktivel in Tamil. Kondeti Suresh is dubbing this film in Telugu. This love story is based on real incident happened in Tamil Nadu. Bharat (Boys fame) and Sandhya played main leads. Joshua Sridhar scored music.

Rajasekhar's Rajababu
Shooting of Raja Sekhar's latest film Rajababu in the direction of Muppalaneni Siva was started on today at Rama Naidu studios without any press coverage. Kannada heroine Sridevika is playing female lead in this film. This film is a Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster Balettan. SA Raj Kumar scores music. This film would be completed in a single schedule that would take place till 10th of December. Rajababu would be releasing for Sankranthi 2006. Lakshmi Ganapathi grabs Siva Kasi
Lakshmi Ganapathi banner that dubbed blockbusters like Siva Putrudu and Aparichitudu has bought the rights of Telugu version of Siva Kasi that has Arjun, Jagapati Babu, Vedika and Gajala in the main leads. Arjun is directing this film as well. This mafia flick is shot in London for 18 days in Mumbai for 20 days.

Athadu satellite rights for 1.8 crores
Athadu is on a roll setting all kinds of records. As per the idlebrain.com sources, satellite rights of Mahesh Babu's Athadu were brought for a staggering amount of 1.8 crores by a private Television channel recently (after 50 days of run). With many private TV channels vying for satellite rights of films, latest hit films are getting maximum mileage. Satellite rights of Prabhas Chatrapati were sold for a handsome price of 80 lakhs for a private TV channel. This deal for Chatrapati was done before the release of the film.

Danger inspired by real incident
Krishna Vamsi's Danger film is inspired a real life incident happened in Hyderabad few months back. This film is about how 3 guys and 2 girls fall in danger. The time duration of happenings in the film is 36 hours. Shooting of the climax is currently going on. Sairam Shankar, Allari Naresh, Abhishek, Colors Swati and Shireen are playing leads. Chandramukhi 200 days fete held
200 days function of Rajnikant's latest film Chandramukhi was held in Chennai on the night of Saturday. Dasari Narayana Rao was invited as chief guest. Dasari said that Chandramukhi film has taken Tamil Cinema into international level. This film would be sent to international film festival to be held in Tokyo. This function was attended by Rajnikant, Prabhu, Ram Kumar, Vijay, director Shankar and Nayana Tara.

Poonam in SRK's film
Poonam (of Modati Cinema fame) is selected as heroine for Sravanthi Ravi Kishore's film with Navadeep as hero. Incidentally, Navdeep and Poonam acted together in Venkat Kuchipudi's film Modati Cinema which is releasing this month-end. This film is a remake of Hindi film Socha Na Tha. Koti scores music. Marudhuri Raja pens dialogues. Ramana who directed Gowry would direct this film. This film would go to floors in this month.

LARSCO's films with Neelakanta and Chandra Siddardha
LARSCO banner which produced Evadigola Vadidi is currently producing Style in the direction of Lawrence. This film would be released on 23rd of December. Lagadapati Sridhar already announced a film in the direction of Veeru Potla. He recently announced a film each with class directors like Neelakanta (Show and Missamma) and Chandra Siddardha (Aa Naluguru).

Bhageeratha previewed
Hero Ravi Teja had a special preview of his film Bhageeratha on Sunday (2nd October) at preview theater of Film Chamber. Neelakanta and Sridhar Lagadapati were also accompanied him. Rasool Ellore directed this film. Shriya is the heroine. Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy produced this film on Anandam Academy banner. Bhageeratha is all set to release on 12th October on the eve of Vijaya Dasami.

Shark episode to be redone in Chatrapati
There has been criticism about the Shark animation episode in Chatrapati film. It took 3 months to do that animation and the under-water effect was not properly created. Director SS Rajamouli has decided to make the Shark animation and under-water effect correctly and add it to the film once it is ready. He would be spending money from his own pocket for the expenses incurred for the same.

Style in Tamil too
As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Lawrence's latest film under production Style is being simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil. As this film has Prabhudeva and Lawrence in the main leads along with Raja, there would be good market in Tamil too. It is the same reason why the project is being delayed. Lagadapati Sridhar - producer of Evadi Gola Vadidi - produces this film on Larsco Entertainment banner. Mani Sharma scores music. Charmme and Kamalinee Mukherjee play female leads. This film is expected to release in December.

Nitin in Siddik's direction
B Srinivasa Raju would be producing a film with Nitin as hero in the direction of popular Malayalam director Siddik. This film would be launched in the month of November. Other details are awaited. Incidentally, this film is production no. 5 on SriSri Chitra banner.

Heroines busy in openings

Shringar's multiplex in Hyderabad
Shringar cinemas that own the famous Adlabs multiplex in Mumbai is all set to start a multiplex in Hyderabad city. It also has plans to construct multiplexed in cities like Calcutta, Pune, Allahabad, Aurangabad, Surat and Thane. These multiplexes are expected to be available to public by March 2006.

Pourusham audio released
Producer and actor Ashok released the audio of Pourusham at a function arranged in Film Chamber on 30th October. He released the audio and gave the first cassette to director Jaya. Sundar and Bhargavi play main leads. Sanjeev Megoti directed the film. Debutant music director Sanjeevam scored music.
