Prasthanam Audio to be released by public
Prasthanam audio will be released by a group of young students in Vijayawada very soon. The date is yet to be confirmed, but the movie is gearing up for December release. Prasthanam team will select twenty members across the state (age :18-30) who believe they are natural born leaders and aspiring to become politicians or student leaders. The team is about to release an ad to this effect in a day or two.

The second trailer of Sekhar Kammula's Leader was rejected by censor board because it sported voices of some real politicians in assembly. The music of Leader is likely to be released on 22 of November. Micky J Meyer scored music. Leader sports RaNa Daggubati in the title role. AMV Productions is producing this movie. Leader is all set to release in the second half of December.

Taj Mahal gets clean U
Sivaji's latest movie Taj Mahal got censored today and obtained clean U certificate without even a single cut. Actor Sivaji is turning producer with this movie. Arun Singaraju - an trained filmmaker from USA - makes his debut as director. This movie is the remake of a Kannada blockbuster with the same name. Sruthi plays heroine. VLV premiere for a cause
Mahi - the producer of Villagelo Vinayakudu - is going to have a big-ticket premiere tonight at 9:45 pm Big Cinemas. He has booked all the screens in Big Cinemas and roped in TV9 to do a live show of red-carpet premiere. TV9 is covering a premiere of a Telugu cinema for the first time. The lacs of money raised through this premiere will be donated to a social cause. Made on a shoe-string budget, Villagelo Vinayakudu recovered all the investment through the sale of satellite rights and overseas rights. The money earned from theatrical release will remain as profit to the producer. Suresh Movies is releasing this movie all over Andhra Pradesh. Vijay Saradhi Jeedigunta (father of hero Varun Sandesh) entered into USA film distribution for the first time with this movie. The premieres of VLV will be held on 4 November in four major centers of USA.

Suman Pathuri to direct Raja again
Inkosari title seem to have triggered off another movie in the combination of Suman and Raja. Youngster Suman Pathuri is making his debut as film director with Inkosari film that is produced by Kalyan Palla of Bay Movies. Raja is so much impressed with the work of Suman Pathuri that he has agreed to act in the next movie of Suman. Raja himself is expected to be the producer of that movie. The logo of Sekhar Kammula's latest movie Leader will be launched on 1st November. This movie introduces RaNa (grandson of D Rama Naidu) as hero. RaNa will be formally introduced to the people and media with a huge function to be organized on 15 November. AVM productions is producing this movie and they are planning for the audio launch on 24 November. Micky J Meyer who gave terrific tunes to Happy Days is composing music for this movie. Kurradu on 12 November
Varun Sandesh is going to have an image make-over as an action hero with a film titled 'Kurradu' which is being remade from Tamil blockbuster Polladavan. Neha Sharma is doing female lead. Producer Allu Arvind has taken this decision today after consulting all distributors and exhibitors. Vivek Oberai and Surya plays Paritala Ravi and Maddelacheruvu Suri respectively. This film is being made in three langues with these two actors. There was a news that Pradeep (son of Ravi Raja Pinisetty) will do Paritala Ravi in Telugu version. Ram Gopal Varma clarified that Pradeep is signed for another production to be directed by a couple of new directors.

NTR who donated 20 lacs to the CM's relief fund yesterday upped his contribution by donating another 20 lacs through TDP's relief fund. Now NTR's contribution is 40 lacs so far. Bala Krishna donated 20 lacs. Bhuvaneswari (w/o Chandra Babu Naidu) donated 20 lacs on behalf of Heritage Foods. Purandheswari (MP) donated 25 lacs.

NTR met CM Rosaiah today and handed over a cheque for 20 lacs towards flood relief. He also urged his fans to come forward and donate money. D Rama Naidu donated 10 lacs. Venkat of RR Moviemakers who produced recent hit Kick has donated Rs. 5 lacs towards this cause.

Floods scare releases
The recent and unfortunate floods are affecting the release dates of movies severely. The floods have unsettled lives of lacs of people in AP. And it takes them a while to come over the tragedy to lead normal life. The filmmakers whose films are lined up for the release on 9th and 16th October are getting tensed about their release timing. Bumper Offer which is supposed to release on 9th October got postponed. As of now Mahatma is releasing on 9th October and other major releases are lined up for 16th, 23rd and 29th of this month.

Charan's film from 21 November
Ram Charan Teja's third movie in the direction of Bommarillu Bhaskar will have pooja ceremony held on 21st of November in Hyderabad. Genelia pairs with Ram Charan Teja. Arya 2 in November?
As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Allu Arjun's much awaited movie Arya 2 might be releasing in November (either 11th November of 13th November). This decision is said to be taken by keeping in the view of 100 days run of Magadheera film. Magadheera which turned out to be the industry hit of Telugu created history in terms of collections and 50 days centers. If Arya 2 is released before the completion of 100 days of Magadheera, some of the buyers (who bought both Magadheera and Arya 2) might be tempted to replace Magadheera with Arya 2. But November is said to be off-season for movie releases. That is why NTR's film in VV Vinayak direction is postponed to December (to cash in both Christmas and Sankranthi holidays) though the product would be ready for November. It may be noted that there is no bad season for a good film. Prior to the release of Magadheera, trade pundits felt that it missed summer season. Being a good film, Magadheera created history by releasing in off-season.

Month gap between Nag and Chaitanya movies?
Nagarjuna is current doing Rummy (title is yet to be officially announced) in the direction of debutant Kiran Kumar. And this film is supposed to be released in the second half of December. Naga Chaitanya is currently shooting for Gowtam Menon's latest Telugu movie in Chennai. This film will also be ready for the release by December. Dil Raju controls releases
Being a prime distributor and a big producer, Dil Raju is virtually controlling the releases of big movies these days. Since all the producers of big movies want to have a comfortable space between their releases, they need one reference point to set their release date. After Magadheera release, it was Dil Raju who had big releases like Mallanna and Josh. Since he fixed Josh date as 3 September, Sankham got postponed to 11 September. Banam and Eenaduare coming on 16 and 18 of September respectively. Ganesh (bought by Dil Raju) will be releasing on 23/24 of September.

Allu Arjun not doing Dostana
When approached by idlebrain.com, Allu Arjun denied that he is doing the remake of Bollywood blockbuster Dostana. This news which was initially splashed on a few gossip sites made its way to television media through a couple of channels. Allu Arjun said that he is currently doing three films (Arya 2, Guna Sekhar directorial venture and Vedam) which are under production. His next movie is going to be Badrinath to be directed by VV Vinayak.

Quick Gun Murugan Reddy controversy
Rajendra Prasad acted in a film titled Quick Gun Murugan which is due for release in India and abroad (except for AP) tomorrow. He played the title role. Maverick director Teja who directed blockbuster movies like Chitram, Jayam and Nuvvu Nenu has started a new banner called ‘Jayam Movies’ with the intention of making low budget films with high creativity. He has a plan to produce 50 films in the next five years. He will be launching 10 movies as a part of the first bunch soon. The first film is going to ‘Alivelu Manga’ to be directed by Kodi Rama Krishna. This heroine oriented film in the lines of Pratighatana, Ankusam will feature two heroines. Kalyani Malik will compose music. This film will be launched soon. Teja also signed Rasool and Anand Ranga (Oy fame) for a film each. Three new directors will also direct a film each. Two Tamil directors will direct a film each. Teja is planning to do these films on war-footing method in corporate style.

Sambho Siva Sambho on 26 November
Ravi Teja is the most consistent hero in Telugu film industry. His first movie of the year Kick was a super hit. His second movie of the year Anjaneyulu is going to release on 12 August. His next movie Sambho Siva Sambho which is a remake of a Tamil film Nandodigal is going to release on 26 Novmber. Allari Naresh, Sunil and Siva Balaji play other important roles. This movie will start shooting from 16 August in Kurnool.

Sankham on 4 September

Ashta Chemma as ISB case study
Indian School of Business students were taught “Producing Ashta Chamma” as a case study, part of their entrepreneurship course curriculum. The case was presented by Professor Rama Velamuri to ISB students in the past two days. This is the first of a kind, for ISB to do a case on Indian movie business, and more so, in the Telugu film industry. The case is essentially about Ram Mohan (producer of Ashta Chemma), the protagonist. An IIMA (IIM Ahmedabad) graduate who failed in entrepreneurship before, worked with Suresh Productions and UTV, came back to the movie business and made a successful small movie.

The shooting of Villagelo Vinayakudu (part II of Vinayakudu) was wrapped up in a single schedule lasting in 36 days today. This film features Krishnudu playing the role of Vinayakudu. Sai Kiran Adivi who directed Vinayakudu is directing the sequel. He is also producing this movie on Moon Water Pictures banner. Sai Kiran is planning to launch the music on Vinayaka Chaviti. Based on the Hollywood film Predator, Ram Gopal Varma made this thriller based on the adventures made by a filmmaking crew in the jungles of Srilanka. Kamal Hassan’s latest bilingual movie – Eenadu which is a remake of Hindi blockbuster A Wednesday is going to release on 12 August. The release of Ram Charan Teja’s latest movie Magadheera is pushed to 29 July from 24 July. Bhogavalli Prasad who is acting as the executive producer for this movie confirmed the same. Magadheera has been the center of attraction since the project was launched and the incessant delay in release is raising expectations more and more. SS Rajamouli directed it and Geeta Arts produced it.

Ravi Teja in a remake?
Bellamkonda Suresh bought Telugu remake rights of Tamil blockbuster Nadodigal. This film is directed by Samuthirakani who played the role of villain in Subramanyapuram (Ananthapuram in Telugu). Ravi Teja is likely to play male in this movie. Another key role might be played by Allari Naresh. If Ravi Teja confirms this project, the film in the combination of Ravi Teja – Krishna Vamsi – Bellamkonda Suresh might be postponed. The unit of Naga Chaitanya’s Josh returned to city after an exhausting schedule at golden temple city Amritsir. The last leg of the shooting is currently going on at Mehdipatnam now. As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Dil Raju couldn’t able to procure visas for the entire unit for USA. Hence they are planning to shoot the film in Canada and pass it off as USA. The shooting of the film is supposed to start in this month, but couldn’t. The unit is expected to go to Canada next month. Ravi Yadav (cinematographer of Bollywood blockbuster Race) is making his debut as director with this movie. This film is based on K Balachandar’s yesteryear’s classic Maro Charitra. Micky J Meyer is composing music. Most of this film will be shot in abroad.

KIKK in Hindi by RajShri
Efforts are on to remake Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam in Hindi. Rajshri management has seen the movie and expressed satisfaction. Kishore Kumar who directed the Telugu version will make his debut in Hindi with this remake. Nallamalupu Bujji and Suresh Babu will jointly co-produce the movie along with Rajshri banner.

For the first time in the history of Telugu music, an audio album is releasing along with MP3 songs. Umesh Gupta of Aditya Music is going to release audiocassette, audio CD and MP3 CD of Ram Charan Teja’s simultaneously on 28 June. The albums and CDs will be available in market from 29 June onwards. They are releasing MP3 songs to prevent audio piracy. MM Keeravani composes musc and Rajamouli directed this movie.

Rajendra Prasad dances with Russian models
Rajendra Prasad is doing a lead role in an English film titled Quick Gun Murugan. A song was shot on Rajendra Prasad and Russian models in Mumbai. Popular singer Mikha Singh rendered his voice for this song. Rajendra Prasad dons the role of a vegetarian cowboy and he fights against a non-vegetarian villain in this English comedy. Sashank Ghosh who invented the Quickgun Murugan character for Channel V in 90’s is directing this movie. Fox Star Studios is going to release this movie worldwide soon.

After Dasarath and Lawrence, Nagarjuna is going to introduce another new director in this decade. Kiran Kumar will be making his grand directorial debut with Nagarjuna as hero. Srihari adopts 3 villages
Srihari started ‘Akshara Foundation’ and is doing charity. 50% of his future earnings will be donated to this charitable organization. He adopted three villages – Lakshmapur, Anantharam and Narayanapur. He recently started a mineral water plant to provide pure drinking water to these three villages. He is also going to implement Lead India concepts through schools in these villages. It is nice to see Srihari giving back to the society though such noble deeds.

Varun Sandesh as Vijetha?
