The couple has taken the road trip to Goa first and then went to New Delhi. The couple then went to North Zone DGP office and gave an application for police protection.

Lawyer Pinky has submitted petition to Delhi High Court on behalf of newly wed couple Srija and Sirish Bharadwaj. The Delhi High court has asked the government of Andhra Pradesh for the protection of newly married couple.

The court also directed the family of Chiranjeevi to give an assurance letter stating that they would not harm the newly wed couple.

Srija said that she believes in the assurance given by her father Chiranjeevi and uncle Pawan Kalyan. She also expressed happiness over her parents accepting their marriage. She also thanked her friends who had to go through troubles because of her in the last few days. She said that she would come to Hyderabad very soon and stay in her in-law’s house.

Srija said that she told about her love to parents an year back and met with resistance. Pawan Kalyan does not know about this issue at all. She had to take this step because of the resistance she faced an year back.

Sirish Bharadwaj denied the girl kidnap case filed against him in SR Nagar Police station in 2002. He said that they all went to a movie together on that day and unfortunately they framed him in a kidnap case. He said that the issue was settled long back. He also accused the police of reopening that case to arrest him.

The high court has postponed the hearing of the case to next Monday.
