Telugu film Ooriki Monagadu (1981) was remade in Hindi as Himmatwala (1983). It went on to become a huge blockbuster. K Raghavendra Rao directed the Hindi version as well with Jitendra and Sridevi playing the main leads done by Krishna and Jaya Prada in Telugu.
