Krish who made a path-breaking Telugu film Gamyam last year is going to direct another film titled Vedam now. This film will be jointly produced by Prasad Devineni and Shobu Yarlagadda on ARCA banner. Krish is a kind of person who depends on the script and writing more than on casting. Gamyam was a hit because of it’s script. What if he gets a superb casting? It only adds fuel to the fire.

As per the sources of idlebrain.com, Krish made a casting coup with his new film Vedam when he brought big names like Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu and Anushka together. Vedam will have five important characters and three of the characters will be donned by Allu Arjun, Manoj Manchu and Anushka. These three characters will contribute to 80% of the screen time. There will be two more important roles. MM Keeravani composes music to this movie.

Allu Arjun was cast first. Manoj Manchu was cast second. Anushka signed on the dotted line today evening. Chiranjeevi and Mohan Babu are known to be rivals in film industry after the differences came into limelight in the Chiranjeevi felicitation function of Padma Bhushan and Telugu cinema vajrostavalu. And Krish did the unimaginable by getting Allu Arjun and Manoj Manchu to act together in a multi-starrer. Will those fireworks between Mega family and Manchu family continue to flare on screen too in this movie. Only time will tell!!

In an era where Tamil/Hindi actors like Sreeram, Deepak, Shyam are borrowed to play alternate hero roles in Telugu films, it is a heroic feat to get young and in-demand heroes of Telugu to act together in a movie. Telugu film industry should be thankful to Krish if he makes Vedam a hit because it will pave a way for many more multi-starrers in Telugu film industry, which in turn will change the complexion of the future projects forever!!!

Vedam will go to sets in the month of June 2009. Let’s all wish the best to Krish because this film could turn the way Telugu movies function in the future!!!
