Missamma

to him. LB Sriram said
that all the characters in this film are well rounded
ones. Raghu Babu thanked
the director for giving such a short-yet-important
role of 'Inspector Amzad Khan' to him. Music director
RP Patnaik said that
he saw Missamma in Rajahmundry while shooting for
'Seenu Vasanthi Lakshmi' and liked it very much. Taraka
Rathna said that it's a brave attempt to make
such a different film when love stories are ruling
the filmdom.
Heroine
Laya said that she is
very fortune enough to have accepted this role and
thanked Neelakanta for that. Bhumika
Chawla thanked the director for giving the
title role of the film.
Hero
Sivaji said that he came
to the film industry with the dream of acting with
Chiranjeevi and it fulfilled with the movie Master.
At that point of time, he wanted to earn around Rs
5 lakhs and return back to home town. As he kept on
getting various roles, he stayed in the industry.
He said that the status he achieved with Missamma
film is due to the blessings giving by the 45 producers
he worked with. He opined that receiving a 100 days
shield from Chiranjeevi is like a life time achievement
to him. He thanked everybody who supported him in
his career.
Chiranjeevi
said that they wanted to take Sivaji for a small-time
villain role in Master film. But after looking at
Sivaji's soft looks, Chiranjeevi decided to give a
small role that suits his looks. Chiranjeevi expressed
his sorrow for not giving that role to Sivaji and
said that he always repented later that he did some
injustice to Sivaji. Chiranjeevi openly tendered apologies
to Sivaji over this incident. Chiranjeevi said that
he liked Sivaji as a person who provided all comforts
to his parents and family. He said that he has suggested
his son Ram Charan Teja to take people like Sivaji
as role models in terms of taking care of parents.
Chiranjeevi felt that Neelakanta's Missamma is a good
film like the yesteryears Missamma. He also added
that at one point of time, he asked SV Krishna Reddy
to prepare a story like Missamma (old classic). He
said that the entire movie's strength is the screenplay
provided by Neelakanta. He also said that appropriate
casting helped the film. Chiranjeevi commended that
producer Satyanarayana for choosing to make a meaningful
film in stead of going for a full length commercial
film.
Dasari
said that he always believes that cinema is a director's
media. He hailed Telugu film creative directors to
be the best film directors in India. He said that
Bhumika's body language suited the Missamma character
very well and compared her acting to Mahanati Savitri's
sensible histrionics. Dasari recalled how Sivaji did
a minute role in his 'Adavi Chukka' though he did
hero roles earlier. Dasari commended that such a kind
of dedication to learn and work would bring Sivaji
much more acclaim.
Jayant
C Pranji, KL Narayana, RP Patnaik, Dasari and Chiranjeevi
distributed shields.
