ANR Lifetime Achievement Awards for the year 2005 were presented to Vani Sri and Tammareddy Krishna Murthy for their services to Telugu Cinema on the night of 20th September (ANR's birthday) by Governor of AP Sushil Kumar Shinde at a function arranged in Jubilee Hall of Public Gardens. C Narayana Reddy and P Sushila were also invited as guests.

On this eve Sushil Kumar Shinde said, "ANR entered the film industry at a very tender age and became an icon over a period of time. Art of cinema is very much appreciated in AP and the artists are doing social work and contributing to the society. The youth should take artists as inspiration."
