Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM), India’s premier film school has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) today.
The signing ceremony was graced by celebrated South Indian actor Mr. Akkineni Nagarjuna, President of AISFM, Sri R.M. Dobriyal, Vice Chanellor, JNAFAU, Mr. Chris Higgins, Vice-President, Admissions & Marketing, AISFM.
The purpose of the MOU is to offer India’s Degree & Masters courses in Film and media. Until today, film and media students only had access to certificate and diploma courses. Now, they can earn a government recognized degree, while receiving technical training in various aspects of film and media including Editing, Cinematography, Directing, Scriptwriting and Producing as well as Animation and Visual Effects (VFX). The MOU is for a period of 4 years.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagarjuna, President of AISFM said “The Indian film industry has been pursuing a dream for decades – that students can gain technical film and media skills as part of a recognized degree. The partnership between AISFM and JNAFAU brings that dream to life.”
