Audio of Surya's latest bilingual film Aaru was released at a function arranged in State Art Gallery on the night of 3rd December. Gemini Film Circuit is producing this film as their second venture after Shankar Dada MBBS. Surya released the audio and gave the first cassette to the producer Gemini Kiran. This function was graced by Surya, Devi Sri Prasad, Chandra Bose, Gemini Kiran, Sashank Vennelakanti and Supreme Raju. The winners of Gemini TV contest 'Surya hunt for 6 beatiful girls' were given an opportunity to meet and chat with hero Surya. The winners are Sridevi (Guntur), Anjali (Amangal), Naseem (Hyderabad), Sailaja (Hyderabad), Sridevi (Secunderabad) and Kalpana (Hyderabad). The songs of the film were screened.

Devi Sri Prasad sung a song and expressed his wish that Aaru would become blockbuster like Shankardada MBBS.

Hero Surya said, "I would like to thank the family of Chiranjeevi for introducing me to Telugu through Ghazani film. I am happy with the result of Ghazani and hoping that Aaru would continue that euphoria. I had been longing to work with the director Hari for a long time. This film would reach the expectations crowds have after watching Ghazani. My character's name is Armugam, who comes from Chennai to Vizag to make a living. People call me Aaru. This film is going to be a full-length commercial film. Trisha is really good as female lead. Devi Sri Prasad's music is going to be a highlight."

Supreme Music bought the audio rights of this film. Shilpa Chakravarthy anchored the event.
