The audio launch of Yashwanth Art Creations movie, Kumkuma was held at Durgam Cheruvu, Hyderabad. The crowd was limited and the show was delayed by over two hours.

When the programme began Gantadi Krishna the music director came onto the dais and said, "The music of the film has a youthful zest to it, but don't me mistaken that it will be liked only by youth it will please all kind of audience is what I feel. After listening to the sequences and the story I knew I had a lot of scope for giving great music. The producer and director gave me enough free space to work."

Soon after this there was a dance performance for a song from the film, which was choreographed by Swarna Master. Following this there was a fashion show conducted by a Bangalore based group called the 'X-Factor'. The fashion show was a simple show of ethnic clothes.

Soon after this due to the delay, Y S Susheela Devi, wife of Y S Vivekananda Reddy, M P, released the audiocassette. The first cassette was handed over to Jeevitha Rajashekhar who was the second chief guest for the night. Also present were film producer, Veera Madhusudhan Reddy, director- Jothindranath Vemuri, heroine Seema, hero Jayanth and character artists, Shivparvathi, Ranganath, Shivaji Raja and Chinna. The audio rights of the film are with Madhura Entertainment.
