After the success of Pandemkodi, Vishal is back with another film titled Pogaru. This film was released as ‘Thimiru’ in Tamil and became an instant hit. This film is being dubbed in Telugu by GK Reddy as ‘Pogaru. Audio of Pogaru was released at a function arranged in Hotel Fortune Katriya on the night of 8th October. Vishal, RP Patnaik, Kamna Jetmalani, Navaneet Kaur, Sriya Reddy, Smita, Vennelakanti, Kandikonda, Bharati Babu, Mayuri Subhakar and Aditya Dayananad.
RP Patnaik released the audio and gave the first unit to Vishal.
Speaking on the occasion, guest RP Patnaik said, “I saw Pandem Kodi and liked it. But what impressed me the most was the great publicity done by the producer GK Reddy. Vishal proved himself as an actor and he should do a straight film in Telugu. I hope that Pogaru too will become a good hit like Pandem Kodi.”
Smita said that she sang two songs in this film and she liked one song immensely. She also said that she saw the Tamil version which was a big success.
Actress Sriya Reddy said, “Vishal is an action hero who is going to stay here for a long time. Reema Sen is ravishing in this film. Yuan Shankar Raja gave scintillating music. This film is doing fabulous in Tamil and I hope that it will do good in Telugu too.”
I will do a straight Telugu film soon - Vishal
Hero Vishal said, “This is my 3rd film. It is not a joke to be accepted as hero in Telugu. I am going to do a straight film in Telugu soon. When we made Pandemkodi in Tamil, lots of Telugu producers and directors approached us for remake rights. We got tempted too. But it was my father who was hell bent on dubbing this film in Telugu so that it would get me a successful hero tag in Telugu. I am here on this stage today because of my father (GK Reddy) and my brother Vikram Krishna). Pogaru is a nice action film with good music. I credit the success of this film as a result of good team work.”
Raghu Kunche anchored the event. Producer GK Reddy who could not make it to the function sent a ‘thank you’ letter. Aditya music bought the audio rights.
