Audio of Mohan Babu's latest film Shiv Shankar was released at a function arranged at Annapurna studios on the night of 31st July 2004. Music of this film is scored by Maestro Ilayaraja. The guests and hosts of the function paid respects to Allu Ramalingaiah by maintaining silence for two minutes.

Speaking on the occasion D Rama Naidu said that Mohan Babu is serving people not only through his profession of acting but also though education by running Sri Vidya Niketan successfully. JNTU Vice Chancellor Venkatrami Reddy appreciated Mohan Babu for spending the money he earned in film industry to serve the society through Sri Vidya Niketan. Veteran filmmaker MS Reddy compared Sri Vidya Niketan to Shanti Niketan.

Mohan Babu said that the director Kapuganti Rajendra is a protégé of his mentor Dasari. Chief guest Dasari said that Kapuganti Rajendra is his 28th protégé who directed films. The clippings of the film have the flavor of new trend. He wished that the film would become a big blockbuster.
