Telugu film actor Vishnu Manchu has become the co-owner of ICL’s franchisee Hyderabad Heroes. This announcement was done at a media event organized in Taj Krishna on the night of 21 August 2008. This event is attended by Vishnu Manchu, Kiran More and ICL Business head Sanjay Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion Kiran More said, “I wholeheartedly welcome Vishnu Manchu into the family of ICL. I am sure that he would take Hyderabad heroes to the next level with his contribution of co-owner. The cricket level in India has gone up after the ICL tourney. We are going to have 3 ICL tournaments this year.”

Kiran More presented Vishnu Manchu with a t Hyderabad Heroes T Shirt that has Vishnu Manchu written on it. The number for that t-shirt is one.

Vishnu Manchu said, “When I was a kid I enjoy Kiran More’s spar with Javed Miandad. I really liked the way Kiran More teased him. I always wanted to make cricket as my career. During my engineering first year, I played for the cricket team of Chittoor. I still remember the days when I went to Nellore to play a tourney. I went to a famous Ganesh temple and asked his blessing for my cricket career. Out of eight matches I played, I went out for duck for six times and scored half centuries on the remaining two times. I also represented JNTU in the zonals. After that my dad asked me to take film career seriously and I am in films. When Sanjay Reddy proposed co-ownership I jumped into it immediately. ICL made a lot of difference to the cricket in India. And I am very much glad to be part of this unique league that spots and nurtures new talent.”

Hyderabad Heroes business head Sanjay Reddy said, “Vishnu is a great and honest human being who is very passionate about the game of cricket.
