Director and producer Gangaraju said, “We kept a low profile for our earlier films when they were under production. But for this film, we are publicizing it right from the beginning. I conceived the story line many years back and had always dreamt of making Amma Cheppindi. We found the apt actors. We registered this title 3 years back. We selected Sarvanand after seeing his performance in Vennela film. Sriya Reddy is doing the role of a CBI officer. This film is about mother - son relationship. Pawan Malhotra is doing father’s role. I introduced cinematographers Senthil and Sarvesh with Aithe and AOR respectively. I am introducing my son Sundeep Gunnam as cinematographer with Amma Cheppindi.”
Hero Sarvanand said that he is really excited to work in this project.
Heroine Sriya Reddy said, “I saw Little Soldiers film along with my family members. It is one of the best films I have ever seen in Telugu. After the failure of Appudappudu, I have decided to come back in Telugu films with the right script. Amma Cheppindi will be a different film.”
Debutant cinematographer Sandeep Gunnam said, “I was in USA for six years to complete my graduation and then film courses in Cinematography. I assisted S Gopal Reddy for Sri Ramadasu film after returning to India. I am doing this film with the insistence of S Gopal Reddy.”
