A new film (Production No. 1) of the newly-floated Kasu Brahmananda Reddy (KBR) Films is launched today at Sarathi Studios, Hyderabad. The film stars new comers debutants Sashi (hero) and Sheela (second lead heroine). A big heroine will be starred as the main female lead. It is directed by Manohar Chimmani (who earlier directed the film Kala). Producers are K. Dinesh Reddy, Sishir Rao and Sevith Rao.
State Labor minister Vinod clapped the muhurt shot on the hero and his second female lead. YS Purushottam Reddy (CM's brother) switched on the camera. First shot direction was done by the film's presenter SR Umesh.
Manohar Chimmani said: "The film is out and out a comedy entertainer. A big heroine will be doing the main heroine and we will announce her name in our next meet. We are happy to introduce the new comers in the lead roles, encouraging the new talent. There is going to be a lot of importance to the music."
Dinesh Reddy (grandson of former chief minister late Kasu Brahmananda Reddy), who produces the film said: "The script of Chimmani Manohar is very youthful and prompted us to make a film with him. It is a middle budget film with good production values. The regular shoot will commence from the middle of November. Other than this film, I will also be launching two or three movies soon. I finished my studies in Hotel Management in Singapore."
Sashi (debut hero) said: "I am thankful to the producer and director for encouraging me as an artiste, though I am a debutante without any filmy background."
