Mr. Gireesam, the movie which witnessed pre-launch hype recently, is finally got to its ground today. SRC Creations is making this flick with Rameshchandra Benerjee Babu as producer. Direction is by a lesser known small screen director Viswaprasad. Music is by Quddus, who earlier worked for a couple of films. The launch formalities were done at Annapoorna Studios.
Red star R. Narayanamurthy sounded the clapboard. Senior producer D. Ramanaidu switched on the camera. TFPC president Tammareddy Bharadwaja did the first shot direction. Krishna Bhagwan plays the lead role. A popular heroine will do the character of Madhuravani in the film. When asked about reports saying Ramyakrishna was roped in for the role, neither the producer nor the director confirmed it.
Krishna Bhagwan said: "I was shocked when I heard the subject, and got thrilled to do a Mr. Gireesam. The film will focus on a burning problem in the society. Regular shoot will commence form June 23."
Director Viswaprasad said: "I planned Mr. Gireesam as a wholesome family entertainer with a lot of commercial elements – love, comedy, sentiment, besides an element of politics. We are planning to release the film in September."
Music director Quddus said: "Going by the story and several interesting scenes, a lot of importance is attached to the background score in this film, apart from regular score for songs."
Earlier, the unit members greeted guest Ramanaidu at the venue and formally celebrated his birthday.
