ML Kumar Chowdary who gave a hit in the form of 'Pedababu' with Jagapati Babu in the past is producing a film titled 'That is Pandu'. Sneha who acted in twos films - Sankranthi and Radhagopalam - this year is acting as heroine. Devi Prasad who got applause through Leela Mahal Center is directing this film. Muhurat of this film was held on the morning of 5th May at Annapurna studios.

D Rama Naidu clapped the sound board on Jagapati Babu, Sneha and Madhu Sharma. VB Rajendra Prasad switched on the camera. Rajamouli directed the first shot.

ML Kumar Chowdary said that this film is production number 5 on Keerti Creations banner. He is feeling very comfortable working with Jagapati Babu. If Pedababu has mother sentiment, That is Pandu is an out and out action flick. This film would be made on grand production values.

Hero Jagapati Babu said that after listening to story by Devi Prasad, he zeroed on ML Kumar Chowdary to produce this film as it requires a producer who can spend lavishly. He knew Devi Prasad for 15 years as Devi Prasad worked as an assistant to Kodi Rama Krishna. His character of Pandu is of a tappori type and has lively characterization.

Heroine Sneha opined that it is the right time for her to settle in Telugu film industry as heroine. Though she made her debut through Priyamaina Neeku a few years back, it took Sankranthi and Radhagopalam for her to settle as heroine in Telugu. She is doing a performance oriented character.

Director Devi Prasad said that it was Jagapati Babu who professed that he would become a director. Though the title is named after hero, there is enough scope for heroine to perform in this film.

Shooting of the film starts on 5th May and Completes in August.
