The muhurat of Venkatesh's latest film was held today at Rama Naidu studios. This film is a remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Kakha Kakha'. Venkatesh is playing the role of a cop who specializes at encounters. Asin is playing the role of school teacher. Most of the people who worked for Kakha Kakha are going to work for Telugu version as well. Dr. D Rama Naidu gave the clap and DVS Raju switched on the camera. This function did not sport Venkatesh as he is away in abroad for song shooting of Malliswary film. The story of the film is about the fight between a cop and a gangster. Jeevan - who played villain in 'Kakha Kakha' - is doing villain role in Telugu version as well. Geeta Chitra International that produced films like 'Pavitra Bandham' and 'Pelli Chesukundam' is producing this film. S Thanu - who producer the original film 'Kakha Kakha' - is acting as one of the three producers of the film. Harris Jayaraj provides music. Gowtam - who directed the original - directs this film.

This film would go to floors from the 1st week of February. And is expected to release in the first week of May 2004.
