Shooting of Dil Raju’s Aakasamantha involving Jagapati Babu and Prakash Raj is going on at Ramoji Film City today. Dil Raju invited the press for the coverage. Here are the excepts of the meet –

Prakash Raj said, “Shooting of Akasamantha is complete today. We are planning for March 2009 release. This film is close to my heart. My debut Telugu film Sankalpam had Jagapati Babu as hero. Jagapati Babu recognized talent in me and predicted that I would become big in the future. I had memorable films with Jagapati Babu like Antahpuram, Manoharam and Samudram in the past. Akasamantha is a beautiful film on relationships.”

Actor Jagapati Babu said, “I wanted to do the role of a girl’s father around seven years back. That film too had Akasamantha type of concept. But all my well wishers opposed me. I am doing a small role in this film only because Dil Raju asked me to do it. I am proud of this film. I like Trisha a lot and I take this film as an opportunity to act in her film though there are no combination scenes. I saw a fire in Prakash Raj when I met him during his debut Telugu film Sankalpam. We share and love and hate relationship.”

Producer Dil Raju said, “Akasamantha is the production no. 8 on our banner. I liked the content and I wanted Sunil to do the character Jagapati Babu is doing now. Sunil was also very glad to do this role. My editor Marthand K Venkatesh said that the concept might not work out with Sunil and he suggested the name of Jagapati Babu. We gave the CD of Tamil version and asked Jagapti Babu of his opinion. He was reluctant at first and was gracious enough to accept this role. It is an experimental role for any Telugu hero and I am glad that Jagapati Babu came forward to do it.”
