Prabhas’s latest film Billa is all set to release on 3 April. Krishnam Raju arranged a press meet today to announce the same.
Billa will exceed expectations – Krishnam Raju
Krishnam Raju said, “Gopi Krishna Movies banner is re-entering into film production after a long gap of 16 years. I always wanted to see Prabhas in stylish flicks and Billa is one among such films. Gopi Krishna Movies always made different films with me as hero. And the same trend will continue with Prabhas too. Prabhas was hesitant initially if I would like Billa subject. Though I am old, I always think young and I loved the script of Billa. Producer D Narendra worked very hard, planned and executed the entire production very well. Cinematographer Sounder Rajan worked for many ad films before and he has done a fabulous job by giving great visuals. Costumes and body language of Prabhas is going to be extremely stylish. Prabhas performed superbly in emotional scenes. The introduction scene and the climax episode of the film are going to be highlights. I am doing a sincere cop with casual behavior. It is a different character for me. I am sure that Billa will exceed the expectations this film has generated.”
Billa will be a landmark film in Prabhas career – Meher Ramesh
Mehar Ramesh said, “We started the film on 14 November and releasing it on 3 April. We shot Billa in Malaysia for 70 days at a stretch. Billa is the biggest budgeted films in recent times and it was executed in such a quick time due to good planning by the producer D Narendra. We saw the final film and we are extremely happy with the output. Billa will be the landmark in Prabhas’s career. I am happy to work in Gopi Krishna banner that worked with directors like K Raghavendra Rao, Dasari, Bapu etc. I am also glad that I directed the first combination film of Prabhas and Krishnam Raju. We hired choppers and Ferraris in Malaysia and the credit should go to the producer who gave us whatever we asked for. My first film Veera Kannadiga had Punit Raj Kumar (son of Raj Kumar). My second film had Jr. NTR (grandson of NTR) and my third film has Prabhas (nephew of Krishnam Raju).”
Mrs Krishnam Raju said, “Prabhas is so good in this film that 60-70 year old women will flock to Billa theaters to see Prabhas. Anushka is a nice mannered girl and she is the best heroine I ever met. Prabhas and Krishnam Raju competed with each other in this film. Meher Ramesh is a cool director.”
