A pressmeet was arranged to announce the title of
Venkatesh latest remake as 'Gharshana'. This film
is a remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Kakha Kakha'. Gautam
who directed the original is directing this film.
Asin is paired up with Venkatesh.
Venkatesh
said that 'Gharshana' is the story of a cop who is
an encounter specialist. This film also has wonderful
love story. 'Gharshana' is the 54th film of Venkatesh.
He said that the director Gowtam has presented the
film with different characterization. He added that
lots of care has been taken in looks and style department.
'Gharshana' is a realistic film. Venkatesh said that
Telugu movie lovers have always encouraged different
films from him and hoped that Gharshana would also
become a blockbuster. Venkatesh said that there are
no loud dialogues in 'Gharshana' unlike regular Telugu
cop films. Harris Jayaraj has provided music for this
film. Gharshana film would have 5 songs. The audio
album would have 8 songs which also include the theme
music.
Director
Gowtam said that 'Gharshana' deals with an episode
of a cop's life. This is a pro police film which shows
police in a good light. Answering to a question, Gowtam
mentioned that the producers and actors of Telugu
cinema have great regard for Technicians unlike in
Tamil film industry. He mentioned that he learnt a
lot about planning and scheudleing from Venkatesh.
He would be directing a Tamil film with Kamal Hassan
as hero very soon. This film has natural dialogues.

Sivaraju said that the shooting of 10 days is left.
Aditya music has grabbed the audio rights. Audio is
expected between 10th and 15th of June 2004. 'Gharshana'
would be releasing in the month of July 2004.
