A press meet of Shirdi Sai was held on the occasion of Guru Pournima today (3 July). Nagarjuna, K Raghavendra Rao, MM Keeravani, Paruchuri brothers and Maheswara Reddy attended this press meet. Music of the film will be launched on 30 July.

I didn’t not know much about Shirdi Sai Bab before. I went to Shirdi just like that. After coming back K Raghavendra Rao narrated a story to me. It was quite surprising. Since then I had been feeling Sai Baba all the time. There are certain magical incidents happened like an idol of Baba was seen in my house and we didn’t know who brought it. Just like Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu, the film Shirdi Sai will also be a prestigious film in my career. K Raghavenra Rao is my guru in films. I have done over 90 films and I have experienced at-least one disturbing experience in each of those films. Shirdi Sai is the only film that went very smoothly during the shoot.Shirdi Sai is not just for devotees, but for all movie lovers. I would like to thank producer and director for the movie.

I met K Raghavendra Rao casually and asked him to tell me if I he ever makes a film on Sai Baba. He was already working on the script. He discussed with Nagarjuna and then offered me to produce the movie. I have no film background. Raghavendra Rao took the onus of setting entire project and help me in production too. All films in the combination of Nagarjuna - K Raghavendra Rao - MM Keeravani have been sensations. The response for the get-up of Nagarjuna has been tremendous. Keeravani’s music is going to be highlight.

My first music for K Raghavendra Rao’s film was Allari Alludu. It was made on RK films banner. I used to have ganapathi devotional song for muhurat of my earlier movies. K Raghavendra Rao has asked for a song on Sai Baba and we used a line from Bhajan. Since then we used the lines from that Bhajan for the next 23 films I did for K Raghavendra Rao. K Raghavendra Rao has given me the opportunity to include the entire bhajan in this movie. There will be 13 songs, 2 bit songs and a bhajan. The total number of tunes are 16. I am planning to do the re-recording from 5 July.

Nagarjuna is perfect as Sai Baba - Paruchuri Gopala Krishna
I read a book called ‘Sai Padam’. It had beautiful photos of Sai Baba. I felt the same vibrations when I looked into Sai Baba’s eyes in that book and Nagarjuna’s eyes in the Sai Baba’s get-up. Nagarjuna is just perfect for Sai Baba’s role. I wrote the script in Shirdi and I had witnessed magic in my personal life while scripting for this movie. Only K Raghavendra Rao and Akkinenis justify devotional films now. Each song in this movie is clapworthy and this movie will create records.
