Kamalakar (son of Darsi MLA Buchepalli Subba Reddy) made his debut as hero with Abhi a couple of years back. He is acting in his second film ‘Sunny’ now. The unit arranged a press meet recently. Here are the excerpts of the press meet -

Debutant director Mohan said, “ I am basically a DFT graduate from Adayar Film institute. I worked under K Bala Chandar earlier. Sunny is a revenge subject with youth orientation. We completed 16 days shoot so far and 40 days work is left. We completed two songs. Since I worked under K Bala Chandar, I had access to Ilayaraja and he gladly accepted to score music. Two songs are completed so far.”

MV Raghu who worked for classics like Swathmuthyam, Sitara and Anveshana in the past said that it is a challenging task to shoot a film when someone like Ilayaraja scores background music to it.

Actor Abhishek said that this is his 6th film and he is playing the second lead of fun loving guy.

Actress Kriti said, “I am a 19 year old girl doing graduation in Delhi. This is my first project.”

Actor Kamalakar said, “I am doing this film after a gap of 2 and years. Though my first film did not do well at box office, it got good appreciation for the technical values. I am a huge fan of Ilayaraja and I am very glad that he is scoring music for this film. We searched for 5 months to find Kriti as our heroine. Sunny will be releasing in the month of December.”
