Vishnu is acting in a film titled 'Suryam' in the direction of Samudra. Former Miss India Celine Jaitley is roped in as heroine. Mohan Babu is producing this film on Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner. A press meet was held on the morning of 1st July to explain the progress of the film.

Mohan Babu:
After the release of Manchu Vishnu's debut film 'Vishnu', around 8 high profile producers have come forward to make Vishnu's 2nd film. But none of them could get a good storyline. When director Samudra came up with a story, I asked him to narrate it to Vishnu. That story excited Vishnu.

As a filmmaker I failed in making 'Vishnu' film a hit. But Vishnu has got tremendous response for his histrionics in that film. I take the total credit for the failure of 'Vishnu' film.

We started the shooting of this film on 23rd June and this film would be shot till 5th of October. We are planning to release Suryam either in the last week of October or 1st week of November.

Celina Jaitley:
It is an honor to work with a prestigious banner like 'Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures' and Mohan Babu is the most professional filmmaker I have ever worked with. Vishnu is one of my favorite actors. There is no stress while working for Telugu films as everything goes as per the schedule.

Director Samudra:
I express my immense satisfaction over working with a banner that worked with the directors like Dasari Narayana Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, B Gopal and Ravi Raja Pinisetty. The four films I have done so far had village backdrop. 'Suryam' film has city backdrop. This film boasts off a great characterization for 'Suryam' character.
