Mohan Babu said, “When Lakshmi Prasanna wanted to turn as a producer with the film Jhummandi Naadam, I had cautioned her that it’s a challening task where returns are not guaranteed. I asked hero to enter into any other busienss where profits are guaranteed. She was adamant and did Jhummandi Naadam. That film gave commercial image to Manoj. Ladies liked it and family crowds watched it. UKUP is the life ambition of Manoj Manchu. I got married when I was litterally on a platform. Manoj wants to marry only after getting a big commercial hit. UKUP was started off as a 11 crore budget film and the budget has gone beyond the double figure. It is more than I could afford. The Gandharva Mahal set cost us about 6.25 crores. This film was made in two languages (Telugu and Tamil) simultaneously. I got the confidence and courage after watching the 1st copy of the film. I has also shown it to various writers who didn’t work for the film. They also loved it. They said that my daughter is going to get a hit like Assembly Rowdy and Peddarayudu with UKUP. Director Sekhar Raja did a wonderful job. Bala Krishna Nandamuri should deserve a special appreciation for doing an important role in which Manoj is hero. Hats off to him. He has worked for 44 working days. He is a director’s actor and shown keen interest in detailing of his character and get-up. NBK also said that he doesn’t want to be highlighted in the posters. We are releasing UKUP on 27 July on the eve of Sravana Sukravaram. Ladies always liked my films even when I was doing villain roles. ladies will love UKUP. Manoj Manchu will get 100% stardom with UKUP and this film will stand as the best film of this year.”

Producer Lakshmi Manchu said, “We had worked with passion for the past two years to make UKUP. We are adding theatrical trailers to all theaters from today. Since we have pre-poned the release by a week, we are going to have to do double work on publicity.”
