Kakinada:Pochampally Handloom park organised ‘Pochampally IKAT art Mela 2013 a9-dayHandloom products exhibition at P.V.Town hall, mainroad Kakinada.Tollywood Actress Soumya (Mugguru movie fame) inaugurated the Mela.Mootha Gopala Krishna,Ex Minister for Andhra Pradesh-Graced the occasion by lighting the traditional lamp.

“It’s glad to see various apparel, particularly designer Fabrics, silk and cotton sarees, to be showcased for the Fashion Connoisseurs” said Soumya.“Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed hand made cotton, silk wear & exclusive home textile ” she added.

"The collection gives various options to choose from a wide range of traditional, ethnic and amazing collections. Fashion is an expression of oneself, an illustration by the Weaver and a piece of art’’ Mootha Gopala Krishna added.

In this Mela, renownedTextile designers &World famous weavers of Pochampally, presenting their designer saris and appearls, handicrafted designer sarees, dress materials, hand bags many more. The exposition will be from 24th to 2nd june 2013 on display is a colour ful range of fabrics like home textile to apparel fabrics, stoles , scraves, and sarees in silk & Cotton, duppatas, table mats, covers, cotton shirts & Kurtis many more.
