After the huge disaster caused by rain in Chennai, Many Celebrities are lending their hands to the needy people.

On the donaters list, Well Known Bollywood Actor Akshay Kumar has joined now by giving Rs. 1 Crore for Chennai Flood Relief activities.

After seeing the shocking visuals of rain affected chennai, Akshay wanted to help the people and in regards to this he called Director Priyadarshan and in return Priyadarshan directed him to contact Suhasini Maniratnam for further proceedings.

After Suhasini Maniratnam's suggestion, he donated Rs. 1 Crore to Bhoomika Trust who are doing the food prepartion and distribution in Chennai from the day of disaster.

Jayendra, Mananging Trustee of Bhoomika Trust received the cheque.

Its worth to mention here that Akshay Kumar currently acting in Kaththi Hindi version, directed by ace director AR Murugadoss.
