Is someone’s Belief in VIRTUE more important than VIRTUE itself? Do rational thoughts destroy your soul? The depth of these questions cannot be scaled. The Interpretation of these facts seem normal, But it is going to be visible only to those who wish to see it. Experience will only teach us, ’what not to do’, But ‘not what to do’. Chandamama Kathalu is a paradox of a writer’s point of view about life and his journey towards the path of enlightenment that we humans are mire particles in the greater aspect of the universe and forces beyond our imagination. The Real treasure of the movie is the apodictic situations and Philosophical Facts, which hide behind a mask of casual conversation and Real life Actions.
8 threads/plots/stories, interwoven and intercut, take you on a journey through Poverty, Deception, Glamour, Greed, Affluence, Conjugality, Hope and Bard........., travelling from the slums to the affluent hills, from adolescence to retirement and from ignorance to arrogance in contemporary Hyderabad. These are the characters we see, meet, experience in daily life but never pay attention to, and seldom realize that one of these characters is us and what we are today is the result of our own actions from yesterday.
If you observe the poster, the eight blocks in the poster are pictorial representation of each character and it also hints at each story line as well. But, don’t get fooled by what you see. There is a lot more than what meets the eye. This is a compelling story that deals with multiple layers and with equally compelling characters and a near perfect casting, it penetrates through the average mind. Over the course of next few days, let me introduce you to each one of my characters. Who they are? What are they going through? And what’s in store for them?
Foot Note: People spend a lot of time trying to organize the world by building clocks and Calendars and trying to predict the weather. But what part of life is truly under once control? We are just common people living in an uncertain world.
ఒక ప్రవక్త అన్నాడు, జీవితంలో జరిగే వరుస సంఘటనలు మనలో ఒక నమ్మకానికి దారి తీస్తాయి, ఒక్కసారి ఆ నమ్మకం నిజమని బలంగా విశ్వసిస్తే, ఆ నిజాన్ని బతికించడానికి ప్రపంచం నీకోసం సంభవిస్తుంది అని.
అయితే ఆ నమ్మకాన్ని ఎంత బలంగా నమ్మగలం? నమ్మిన దానికోసం ఎంత పనంగా పెట్టగలం,ఎంత దూరం వెళ్ళగలం? అంతర్లీనమైన ఈ నిరంతర మానసిక సంఘర్షణ తో పాటు అనంతమైన విశ్వంలో మన ఆధీనంలోనే ఉంది అనుకుంటున్న మన నలుసంత జీవితాన్ని ఒక రచయిత ద్వారా ఆవిష్కరించే ప్రయత్నమే మా ఈ “చందమామ కథలు”.
ఈ చిత్రం ఒక పవనం...మురికి వాడలనుంచి మహా సంపన్నుల వరకు,అమ్మయకత్వం నుంచి అహంకారం వరకు,పడుచు వయసు నుంచి పండు ముసలి వరకు సాగే ప్రయాణం... మనం రోజూ చూస్తూ గమనించని వ్యక్తుల జీవితాలని,రోజూ చేస్తూ దృష్టి పెట్టని పనుల పర్యవసానాన్ని ప్రతిస్పుఠిస్తూ, సమాజం లోని అందం,ఆశ,అబద్ధం,బంధం,బాంధవ్యం,నమ్మకం,మోసం,పేదరికం అనే ఎనిమిది అసమానతలని సమానంగా,అంతర్భాగంగా, అతిసహజంగా,ఆహ్లాదకరంగా పొందుపరిచిన వైనం ఈ చిత్రం యొక్క ప్రత్యేకత.
మనం లోతుగా గమనించినట్లయితే ప్రచార చిత్రం లోని ఎనిమిది గడులు ఎనిమిది కథల మరియు పాత్రల దృశ్యరూపాలు అని స్పష్టం అవుతుంది, మన కళ్ళు మోసం చేసినట్టు గా మనల్ని ఇంకెవరు మోసం చేయరు అంటారు...నిజమే, మనకు కనపడుతోంది చాలా చాలా తక్కువ, కనపడని భావోద్వేగాలు ,కనిపిస్తూ కనిపించని మానవత్వాలు అన్నీ కలిపి...మనకు కనిపించబోయే ఈ “చందమామ కథలు”.
