• 1951 –At 18 won FIRST PRIZE in state wide FILM REVIEW contest held by legendary writer, director GOPICHAND on his film PERANTALLU.
• 1952 while studying BA [Hons] Pachiappa’s, Madras joined the veteran director, the then editor JWALA, K.PRATYAGATMA a walking encyclopaedia, as his assistant.
• Attended Film Appreciation COURSE conducted by FILM INSTITUTE OF INDIA POONA [PUNE]. MARIE SETON was the Coordinator.
• 1967-78 as Editor of path breaking journals TELUGU TERA, KINEMA reared up readers to learn, relearn the art of cinema and unlearn uncinematic – cinema.
• 1978-85 [8 years] Member, Advisory Panel [Madras] – CENTRAL BOARD OF FILM CENSORS.
• 1990-91 Member, Advisory Panel [HYDERABAD] CBFC, Resigned 1991.
• MEMBER, PRESS ACCREDITATION COMMITTEE for the selection of Media Delegates for FILMOSTAV 1980 – BANGALORE.
