The Hyderabad Football Club might have retired early from their inaugural tournament, but the co-owners of the team are not resting anytime soon. The boardrooms of the HFC are bustling with new plans and strategies for the team’s second battle at the ISL.

The co-owners Varun Tripuraneni and Rana Daggubatti are busy discussing how the players could be supported better and how the support systems could be made better around them. Giving us a glimpse of the team work behind the scenes, Varun reveals, “We are sitting and brainstorming over what were our weaknesses and how we could come back with a much stronger team on field and off.”

The new entrant into the ISL had less than sixty days to even prep, and yet the team stood strong and together throughout, both on-field and off. "Varun and the team have done an amazing job on pulling this off with such less time on hand and under challenging circumstances. The direction in which the team is moving towards the next season is very positive. There have been some key changes on and off the field. I am here to support the team and am confident that we will lift the trophy next season,” says Rana.

Varun adds, “The team is extremely happy with the support we are receiving from Rana. It’s great to have someone like him on board. He has been a great boost for the team’s morale. With the slew of new signings so far and more to come, the team is very very confident that the second time is definitely going to be the charm for the team.”

Last month, Hyderabad FC named Albert Roca as their new head coach for the 2020-21 season on a two-year deal, following the sacking of Phil Brown. Now, with the co-owners putting their heads and minds together to strengthen the team, HFC is most definitely a team and management to keep an eye out for.
