When Baahubali part 1 was released, there was no release in Telugu film industry the next Friday, thereby giving a free-pass for Bahubali 1 for two weeks. When Baahubali 2 was released, there were films like Babu Baga Busy released on the next Friday.

The trade pundits expected a free pass of at least 10 days for Rajamouli's latest film RRR which also has two of the huge box office kings of Telugu cinema - Jr. NTR & Ram Charan. Since It's a Sankranthi season, there is always a space for 3 big films and 1 small film release in the Telugu film industry. Not to waste the season of Sankranthi, we have two more biggies coming up. Prabhas's PAN India film RadheShyam has blocked the date of 14 January. Vamsi - the producer of Pawan Kalyan's Bheemla Nayak has announced today that Power Star's film is releasing on 12 January. Hence there will be just 5 days of monopoly for RRR at the box office.

Nagarjuna is also planning to release Bangarraju (a sequel to the successful Soggade Chinni Nayana, which was also released during the Sankranthi season in the past) on 15 January, though there was no official release date announcement yet. It's going to a Sankranthi to watchout for if these 3 biggies release as per the plan!
