“Watching sanitation workers toiling it out continuously in the hotsummer is really heart breaking. Areas in and around Gandhi hospitalseem like war-zones and sanitation workers are our foot soldiers.Hundreds of them are relentlessly working in the red zone areas, hotspots and hospitals, risking their lives. We really can’t thank themenough,” said Sekhar.

Adding, “To beat the heat, we arranged for a cold drink (butter milkor Badam milk) from Vijaya Dairy for 1000 sanitation workers in thisarea for a period of one month. Vijaya Dairy company agreed to providethe products for a subsidized price. The GHMC North Zone supervisorstook up the challenge of distributing the drinks to each one of theirworkers at their respective work areas by 11 am every morning. It’sbeen a week that we started this program and its working really well,”said Sekhar and thanked GHMC.

Also extending the same program to Kurnool Municipal Corporation,Sekhar said we want to keep going.

“If anyone/group/students finds this interesting and wants to reachout, pool the money. Identify a Vijaya dairy or its equivalent in yourtown. Get in touch with the relevant municipal corporation supervisorsand try to support sanitation/migrant workers,” summed up SekharKammula.

లాక్ డౌన్ సమయంలో కూడా ధైర్యంగా ముందుకు వచ్చి పనిచేస్తున్న పారిశ్యుధ్దకార్మికుల కోెసం ప్రముఖ దర్శకులు శేఖర్ కమ్ముల నెలరోజుల పాటు బాదంపాలు,మజ్జిగ పంపిణీ చేస్తున్నారు.ఇప్పటికే గ్రైేటర్ హైదరాబాద్ పరిధిలో ఈకార్యక్రమం ప్రతీరోజు సాగుతుంటే..కర్నూల్ పట్టణ పారిశ్యుధ్ద కార్మికులకుకూడా ఇలాగే పంపిణీ చేసేందుకు రంగం సిద్దం చేశారు. దీని గురించి ఆయనస్వయంగా తన ఫేస్ బుక్ లో పోస్ట్ చేశారు.

‘‘Red zones, high alert ప్రాంతాల్లో పారిశుద్ధ్య కార్మికులు తమ లైఫ్రిస్క్ చేసి మరీ పని చేస్తున్నారు. గాంధీ హాస్పిటల్, ఆ చుట్టూ ప్రాంతాలుఅయితే వార్ zone లా ఉంటున్నాయి. ఈ ప్రాంతాల్లో ఇంత ఎండల్లో, పారిశుద్ధ్యకార్మికులు రాత్రి పగలు యుద్ధం చేసినట్టు రెస్ట్ లేకుండా పనిచేస్తున్నారు. వాళ్ళకి మనం ఏం చేసినా, తక్కువే. కానీ కుదిరిన దాన్లో ఏదోఒకటి చేయాలి అనిపించి, ఒక పని మొదలు పెట్టాం.

నెల రోజుల పాటు 1000 మంది పారిశుద్ధ్య కార్మికులకు ప్రతి రోజు బాదం పాలు/మజ్జిగ ఇస్తే, ఈ ఎండల్లో వడ దెబ్బ తగలకుండా ఎంతో కొంత సపోర్ట్ చేస్తుందిఅనిపించింది. ప్రతిరోజు బాదం పాలు/ మజ్జిగ 1000 మందికి mrp మీద కొంచంతగ్గించిన ధరకు సరఫరా చేయటానికి విజయ డైరీ ముందుకొచ్చింది. North zoneghmc అధికారులని, supervisors ని సంప్రదిస్తే, ఎక్కడెక్కడో పనిచేస్తున్న వీళ్ళకి సరఫరా చేసే బాధ్యత తీసుకున్నారు. వారం రోజులుగా ప్రతిఒక్కరికీ 11 గంటలకి వీటిని అందిస్తున్నారు. ఎక్కడెక్కడో పని చేసే 1000మందికి ప్రతి రోజూ అందించటం అంటే చాలా కష్టమైన పని. ఎంత వరకు successఅవుతుందో అని కొంచం భయమేసింది కానీ, ghmc సిబ్బంది చాలా successful గాకార్మికులకి మజ్జిగ/బాదం పాలు అందిస్తున్నారు. Thanks to them.

ఇది సాధ్యమే అని నమ్మకం కుదిరాక, కర్నూల్ మున్సిపల్ కార్పోరేషన్ వాళ్ళతోమాట్లాడి అక్కడ కూడా మొదలుపెట్టాం.అక్కడ కూడా కర్నూల్ మున్సిపల్ సిబ్బందివిజయవంతంగా బాదంపాలు,మజ్జిగ అందిస్తున్నారు.వాళ్లకు కూడా ప్రత్యేకకృతజ్ణతలు.

ఎవరికయినా interest ఉంటే.. మీ ఏరియా లో ఉండే విజయ డైరీ లేదా ఏదో ఒకసంస్థతో మాట్లాడుకుని, ఆ ప్రాంతం అధికారుల ద్వారా పారిశుద్ధ్యకార్మికులకో, వలస కార్మికులకో సపోర్ట్ చేయండి. ఒకరే ఖర్చు భరించలేకపోతే,ఒక group form గా అయి, డబ్బులు collect చేసి అయినా చేయొచ్చు.’’ అని ఆయనతన సోషల్ మీడియా ద్వారా తెలిపారు..
