Telugu director N Shankar is known for making revolutionary as well as commercial entertainers. The director has good taste in picking right subjects has helmed several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films such as Sri Ramulayya, Jayam Manade Raa, Bhadrachalam etc. Shankar ventured into production with his last directorial Jai Bolo Telangana which was a runaway hit.

Shanar took some gap after Jai Bolo Telangana has finally announced his next which will be produced again under his Maha Lakshmi Arts banner. The new film will be production number 2 from the banner.

Shankar will remake Malayalam hit ‘2 Countries’, which grossed over Rs 55 crores for full run, as his next production and directorial venture. Interestingly, hero Sunil who is riding high with Jakkanna success is roped in to play the lead role.

Dileep, Mamta Mohandas and Isha Talwar were seen in lead roles in Malayalam version, wherein Shankar is yet to decide on heroines for his film.

2 Countries, hilarious romantic entertainer, has scope to perform well in Telugu. Shankar has decided to remake the film when he first watched the film. He is currently working on the script. More details about the project will be unveiled soon.
