Character actress Telangana Sakuntala (63) who did many Telugu films died of cardiac arrest in the midnight of 13 June. Though she made her debut in 1981 film Maa Bhumi, it was Teja’s blockbuster Nuvvu Nenu that shot Sakunthala into limelight. She has done several hit films and was a notable character artist who did roles of villain and comedian. Her explicit use of Telangana accent made people refer to her as Telangana Sakuntala. May her soul rest in peace!
